Since it seems like nobody knows how economics work in the world, you might want to do a little research. You'll find that over the past few months almost every global game has been issuing a price increase on EU products. The google play store and App store have done the same.

Thos prices were already to high.

Also not buying the market conditions.

Some peopel made good points on the Wow board. Ill link them.

"You never see fit to make changes that would result in cheaper services for EU consumers, it's always upwards."

"If prices should rising, why US and Asia are not affected? only EU? Remember when blizz rise prices in 10 years of WoW anniversary and lately in HS EU."

"You're not "adjusting it based on regional market conditions", you're adjusting it because of changes to a currency that has nothing to do with the euro(hint: it's a certain North American currency). The prices for services were already WAY too high for a completely automated process, you're just being straight up greedy.

Also... how odd that the subscription wouldn't increase based on "regional market conditions" Could it be because that's just a bull!@#$ reason and you're just trying to milk more money, but increasing the sub price would be too risky?
Also, love how you only ever adjust the price upwards. That seems slightly suspicious too..."
If those are the "good points", then I'd hate to see the bad ones lol. This one is my favorite:
"If prices should rising, why US and Asia are not affected? only EU? Remember when blizz rise prices in 10 years of WoW anniversary and lately in HS EU."
Hmm, I don't know, maybe because those are completely different regions with different currencies and economies?...

I'm gonna go with the logical explanations:
In what is likely a reaction to post-Brexit exchange rates that have gutted the value of the pound and with the euro still so low, both UK and EU players will see a roughly 25 percent increase in the price of server transfers, race changes, character boosts, and more. -PC Gamer-

I just got a mail that there is a  -25% discount on those services plus a -10Eur discount on Legion for EU now too.

10Eur less for Legion in the battle.net-shop leaves it at 34,99Eur -which is still too much, since many vendors have had the addon available for 29,99 for a while.

Google and Apple stores had to increase prices because of EU country individual VAT and not the lowest one around (Luxembourgh at the time with 15% while the rest of the EU had 20-25% VAT). Blizzard already was charging VAT for the EU countries, meaning this price increase is just pure greed.

Again, if it was greed, then they'd be raising the prices in all regions. It has everything to do with currency exchange rates. And it wasn't just the VAT that accounted for price increases by other companies doing business in EU, it was also due to a fall in the value of the pound. Examples:

Apple will raise the price of apps in the UK by up to 25 per cent following the fall in value of the pound. An Apple spokesman said: 'Price tiers on the App Store are set internationally on the basis of several factors, including currency exchange rates, business practices, taxes and the cost of doing business.

Microsoft has also raised prices for British customers to cope with the falling value of the pound.

My guess is that the population is dying quickly again, now that we are into Legion for a few month.
Blizzard is trying to cash in on the players that want to leave their dead realms and join one of the few remaining healthy servers.
This is a digital and automated service and it's not like it suddenly costs them any more or caused more effort.
If anything, they should have lowered the price and offer a complete package to move all your chars altogether already. For the outrageous price that a complete move costs in this aging and dying game you can get 4+ current AAA titles.
If you want to gain more money, earn it with quality content and interesting additions to the shop..but then that is just what this team hasn't been able to produce in years.

    Well on the bright side.

The sub cost stays the same...

So ask yourself, did you rather see they kept the services at the current price and jacked up the sub cost instead

It's the laws of supply and demand. You guys do realize that because of the increased demand, the cost of pixels has increased. According to the worlds biggest pixel mine, there are only about 40 years of pixels left before we run out and have to go back to monochromes.
