    Ok so I'm assuming this is web tech of some sort? It wasn't really outlined. Again, it would be nice to have some context. Anyway, if Bacon is right it would be like accusing a Wordpress website of copying another. If two people use the same framework then the underlying code would be the same.

    Spectrum is built with React, as Discord itself, Facebook also uses it, Instagram, and many others. If the code is open source it's obviously to expect the same code around all these apps, hence the clear similarity and functionality.

    react_slug is a component of React that turns input into a URL friendly slug, you can see here https://github.com/zackify/react-slug

    Seeing the piece of code he highlighted you see it's exactly about the URL path generation... So I just went /facepalm at the thread.

    In the coming years am sure all these games will have a communication system like RSI is doing. I don't see the big deal.
