Well Populated Gear Grinder MMO?

FuryVFuryV Member UncommonPosts: 515
Been playing GW2, but really bored at the lack of gear progression.  Can you guys recommend any MMOs where there is always better gear to work towards once reaching max level?  Not WoW though, although I do love their gear progression system, so something along the lines of that would be fine.

Thanks.

You could try Black Desert. You work toward enchanting gear higher and higher. It's pretty hard with the rng involved but it is a sort of gear grinder.

The only thing I don't like about BDO (and unfortunately for me it's game breaking), is the fact that from level 1 to max level you look the same, unless you buy gear from the cash shop.  I like to have a steady stream of different looking gear, from in game drops.

If you are a gear head like me I recommend Aion. So many different armors and some sets really take time to get. The set I need will take me about a 1-2 weeks of questing to get all pieces.

TERA is down to its last few servers, but the population on them is good. They release free expansions every now and then so there's always better gear to grind for and fully enchanted BIS is well out of the reach of anyone who isn't dedicated enough to grind for it.

Some good options there, thank you guys.  How is SWTOR by the way, in this regard?

Also, I see ESO was mentioned, which I actually own but never got around to playing much due to the blandness of the armour/landscape.  How is that as a gear grinder?  I remember a while ago hearing somebody say that the best armour in the game was easily acquirable and you could just craft it if you wanted to.  I suppose I could put up with the blandness, as it wasn't too terrible, as long as the gear progression was decent.
