1. Less time sitting down, you can exercise while waiting for the raid to start.
2. Try to cultivate an urbane, classy online persona. You are not 17 any more.
3. If you are going to crowd fund, put in a moderate amount, no matter how much you like the ideas and the IP. That way if it goes pear shaped you will only feel a moderate need to support the game on forums and social media no matter what happens. Same for pre-sales etc.
4. Remember MMOs are not just for Xmas, you need to love your MMO and give it the time and attention it deserves.
5. Stay away from cash shops if you can, and play MMOs that started as F2P games at your own peril.
6. Your guild is your in game family, treat them as such and you can't go far wrong.
7. Understand appearances can be deceiving, the avatar may have long blonde hair and baby blue eyes, but he is only playing her so he does not have to look at a guys arse for his entire time in game.
8. Yes that new MMO looks amazing, but looks mean nothing. Gameplay is all, if that is not solid then running around in a beautiful environment with your handsome avatar will tire very quickly.

I am sure you will have more, maybe some the opposite of mine. :D
