I've starting seeing games that is pretty much VR; while they offer PC experience normally you notice it's just not a good one.

And I really don't like to see some games I would like to play going full VR; it's like the games with console focus that throw the most awful ports at the PC Gamers that then have to deal with it. =/

So there are a few posters here who are all in on the VR hype train.  They like to lie and say the psvr has sold 2 million units when in FACT the 2 million units is only a projection of what Sony hopes to sell by the end of the year.

Let's put this in prospective a little bit as these VR fanbois are clearly blinded by their own desperation to push VR.  Sony made the announcement about potentially selling 2 million units by the end of the year in October...that's three months to sell 2 million units.  When Xbox launched the Kinect they sold 8 MILLION UNITS IN 60 days.  Guinness book actual gave them the fastest selling consumet electric device award for that feat.  So by Sonys own admission it may take a year to sell as many psvr as Xbox sold Kinects in 60 days.  And it's safe to say the psvr will take years to sell the 24 MILLION Kinects Xbox sold.

Sorry guys VR is a small niche product that the majority of gamers and the public just are not interested in.

I don't give a shit what you think and the numbers, I've got one and am happy with it and looking foward to future vr games.

How are you any different from people pushing vr and you denouncing it?

    Go get laid.
Clearly you do...you've been following me around this site for about a week now...it's getting rather weird to tell you the truth.

Really, I don't remember one name to the next, I quote and move on. Now obviously if a person continues to make dumb post/threads then it would seem I'm quoting them a lot.

So if you're thinking you are special than I've got bad news for you, you're not.
Cute cover little buddy but trust me everyone here (besides you I guess) is smarter then that.  No worries just like every other reply you have made to me this one is another epic fail...keep it up it's always fun having that one poster like you.

Certainly not aboard the hype train, but it's cool to see something that was only seen in expos in the late 90's and early 2000's come to the home market. I remember paying 50 bucks a Paramount themepark for me and some friends to play a VR game back then. Was pricy.

Best thing since sliced bread? Certainly not, but you have to admit it's cool tech.

VR for the average gamer has turned out to be niche as hell.  And that's reinforced with all the VR 'experts' now suggesting virtual tourism and arcades as the potential 'bright spots' (instead of mainstream gaming as originally predicted) .

Despite what the pundits may say, VR gaming is pretty awesome.

The problem with a lot of games, though, is that they treat the device as a 360 monitor only... That isn't vr O_O

Obviously; there has to be a lot more to it than that, and there is.

Even though just having a spherical, extensive 3d interactive visual environment to play in is incredibly immersive.  "Spherical" isn't even the right word: stereoscopy doesn't give the impression of a sphere at all; the only reason I use the term is that "360" usually implies one axis (left-right) whereas "sphere" implies a more extensive environment (left-right, up-down).

Reality check for the poster who thinks vr is all about gaming.  Vr is here to stay.  The tool is invaluable for Engineers and for porn.  Those 2 markets invest more on  products than any singular sector of gaming.  Microsoft, AMD, Nvidia, Sony, Samsung comprise of a little bigger audience than the Kinect.  So I would say not only is your perspective wrong, but you are a naysayer who is jealous of the vr industry.

    Fixed a bit.

There are a lot of really bad "experiences" out there.  But I do agree, some are worth the play.  Maybe not worth the price though.

I am sitting in my room looking at this webpage on a wall sized screen in VR..on the VIVE  I also have the DK1 and DK2 Oculus ...So yes I am all in as regards to VR...this from a 59 year old ...So do I care or get angry about VR being the next big thing or not ..NO because I won't be around ...I am just enjoying the moment and in that moment to me VR is awesome
I feel rather confident that VR is going to stay and its going to be a major a player in home Entertainment.

Now before people start going nuts I want to make clear what is said and not said by this statement.

    1. It does NOT mean I am banking on it, or hoping for it. I really dont care. I play indie games for christ sake so my gaming demand is not McDonalds in the first place. So VR becoming 'mainstream' is something I could not care less about.
    2. 'rather confident' is not a prediction. I 'predict' VR will not be a failure. 'not a failure' does NOT mean 'smashing success'. I am on the fence about it being a smashing success which is also different from 'a major player'
    3. 'In Entertainment' I think ( I do NOT 'predict', I think. there is a difference) that VR will be a larger hit for narratives then people think (meaning VR and movies).
