The first DH quest

So, I logged in and created a Demon Hunter.  The very first thing you have to do is 'kill 15 of those'.  Seriously, after so many years, the best they can do to warm you into the new expansion is to force you to kill 15 of the same type of mob?  Like we've never had to do that before!

Has Blizzard no imagination?  Are they just trying to get you to level from 98 to 100 as soon as possible so the content doesn't need to be that in-depth?  I was astounded that the most hated, boring and run-of-the-mill type of quest you can get is the first one you have to do.  I logged off after 10 minutes coz I couldn't be bothered.  Hopefully I'll be in the mood for that sh1t later.

Well it's great that no-one will argue with me because the quests are a joke. Have we really waited this long for such repetitive quests?

No one is arguing because it's an unrealistic argument.

"What, they can't think of anything other than kill X quests? They have no imagination"

OK, fine, what would you do differently? What kind of quest would you start the Demon Hunter zone with?

Oh, and I will be judging you on story telling, originality, flow and implementation.

That would require actual work.  Complaining is easy.

If you think you can do better than do so.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

Why do you think they should change their game design?
I mean WoW has always had the monsters for leveling be rather easy and the experience rather quick.
Wow LITERALLY invented rested experience, before that we never got a bonus for being off line. It WANTS you to hit end game to do the dungeons and raids at max level.  That is it's DESIGN.
It's not going to have an ex pack drop where suddenly it changes it's entire structure, that would be horrible.

You're a demon hunter that just invaded that world. The one thing you'll likely to do is kill some demons first.

Yeah ok. I was wrong to expect something different after six expacs.

There is a difference between expecting something different but still in the style of the game and expecting a different game.

What exactly would you have wanted?

Still better than starting out with 10 of those funny collect-stuff-from-poo quests.

I see what the OP is talking about... and besides some other things, just this keeps me from ever going back to WoW.
I have never been interested in the lore of the game and was just playing it in a "tab/kill/loot" way for years. All these "bring 10 boar hides, kill 8 blablabla" quests got me SO burned out on it, i just CAN NOT DO THIS ANYMORE.

Lately i became a bit interested in the lore and started reading the books. Unlike back then, i now find the lore much more interesting than the game itself.
