NMS Explorer Edition from iam8bit a no-show

Despite ordering an "Explorer Edition" No Man's Sky from iam8bit back in March, and even with the push of the release date from July until August 12th, iam8bit has failed to fulfill its "Explorer Edition" orders, with the following excuse ONLY delivered to me via e-mail on August 9th:

"You're probably wondering when the physical version of the Explorer's Edition will be delivered.  Here's a quick overview of where things are at this moment:

Because of the hand-painted nature of each ship, the level of detail is excruciating. To match everything to our quality standards, we've been carefully scrutinizing every aspect of the production. It's an attention to detail you've come to expect from iam8bit, and while we hate being the bearer of news re: any delay, we assure you - the Explorer's Edition will be worth the wait as we finish production over the next several weeks."

Interestingly, besides the fact that they claim that the Explorer Edition is limited to 10,000 they are still advertising the sale of the Explorer Edition for No Man's Sky with no warning that they won't be able to fulfill your order in a timely manner as you might expect.

Just a heads-up for those that might be considering purchasing this product from iam8bit.  This is a disappointing first-time experience dealing with them and I do not have a good first impression of their ability to fill orders.

In other words the sweatshop in China with people painting the ships used the wrong colors so they had to go back to square one.
