Late last week, a brand new Rift producer's letter was posted to reveal more details about the upcoming expansion, Starfall Prophecy. It begins with a discussion of the lore background and the fact that players will be able to journey to level 70 and then goes on with further details of the expansion.

    With as small of a playerbase as Rift has..."LFR" probably the wrong move. They would have been better off copying flex mode (scales from 10-20 players in Rifts case) raiding from WoW instead of LFR if they wanted raids to be more accessible (aka the need to justify development costs.)

    No Dx12 support yet. Still runs on DX9.

    I'd rather have the old, unoptimized rift client with honest p2p system no tricks, no traps (and no horseshits mind you) than the crap we have now..

    With what happen with ArcheAge. Don't think Trion will ever get the numbers needed to stay a live as a P2P game with any there game. It's just the trust factor a problem with them for people to drop anymore money unless. People see that Trion not under handing them again.

    Trion is too easy to predict. They will try to get as much as they can till launch then half the price in December followed by the expansion going free with them selling separate elements 3-6 months after. They make most of their money off of impatient people.
