Is Legion good or bad ?

I'll be honest, I was done with WoW and have said so several times, but nothing has really grabbed me to fill the void.  I'm playing ESO but only casually as it's quit repetitive to do for too many hours at a time i.e. the environment feels/looks the same in most places and it's virtually impossible to group as you queue in group finder for a dungeon and it never happens.

I've signed up for Legion and I reckon I will get my money's worth.  If Blizzard can treat us with less contempt this time and deliver regular content, I may stick around/sub for longer than last time.

They did a pretty good job with the Death Knight and this is pretty much the same thing so I think it should be worth playing if you liked DK.  Plus it doesn't look anything like a Panda.

    Hi

I played wow until Ice/lichking and left for good along with the other 7 mill people they lost over time.

So i have been googled and youtubed my ass of to read and see about this legion, but a huge part of me find some of the game still being bad.

Because when i look on the "new" monsters then most of are just re-re used monsters just with new colours and new weapons and in bigger or smaller size.  And every time blizzard makes a new expansion then I find the landscape is getting more and more wierd to travel around in..like what is wrong with the solid plain ground..now it has to look bizare and have wierd hills and travel path that dosent even look like a place to travel...or is that just me bieng critic here ?

And what IF i start again..i would start with 0 gold and have no craft skills and prolly no chance to join a raid before my gear score is over 9000 or something ridicules overrated..

I hears you get ahead start so u get lvl 90 or 100 and then u must play the last 10 lvl up.allready that sounds boring..Im a start at lvl 1 and work you self up guy..log in to a game and get lvl 100 instant is like using trainers and cheats or hax..

And i havent followed any expansions since lichking..but i hear dthere is a pet system and u can grow a farm in your hideout/house..i realy have no intention or interrest in that feature...

For me this game is the same toilet i took a huge dump in... just now with a different seat with a new skin and colour..

So should i realy buy this game and start again or is this just a huge turd again ?

Atm i am having fun with Pokemon GO and i know you cant become strong in both wow and pokemon go cuz both games eats up alot of time :D

You did not come for people's opinions, you came with your mind made up and only wanted to stoke the fire of WOW rage on these forums.

Good or bad depends on the person. My guess is itll be an improvement over WoD or even Cata and Mists. The features sound fun interesting but from what ive seen the leveling game plays exactly the same as it has since Wrath. Mind numbing tread through linear quests which you can halfass combat and hardly ever lose more than 20% health. Every video ive seen from Demon Hunter starter zones to actual Broken Isles content the player barely even dips under 90% health, 80% if they solo some shared quest mob.

I can only assume itll be the same with pretty much all content except top raids, before the inevitable nerf. Just like before.

I think a lot of MMO's boost class stats to get more people to play that class then nerf it after awhile.

    Pro's

Its Warcraft and there's tons of players.

    Con's

They take too long to figure anything out.
    They rarely figure anything out.
When they finally figure something out its too late.
You spend 15$ a month for that.
Are you onto something or just on something?

Ye mine to , i bought Blizz stock at bout 6.00 a share its closed Friday @ 41.35 , so i hope your right
That's great! And I'm sure much of Acti-Blizz's profits come from many other titles beyond what the quality of World of Warcraft has brought in alone though.

Get on the hype train, buy it, then in 6 months time unsub and wait 2y till the next great expansion with the same stuff.

OP.. only you know if the game is good or bad for you.  That question has no right or wrong answer.  for me, It's alright, but nothing to get excited for.  I don't care much for the Demon Hunter class.  I'm not a big fan of melee classes in games so I don't really care for this one.  I didn't like Death Knights either.

It's sounds like you already made up your mind.  My guess is you won't like it based on what you said in your post, but only you know what you like and don't like.

maybe, but 6 months is 2-3x longer than I get out of any F2P/B2P asian hype train MMO turn P2W garbage the east keeps churning out in droves...WoW still the best sub MMO out there - if you like to take naps during the global CD FF14 is ok too but I don't like how aggressive they have gotten with the cash shop and services (like paying for more storage) in a subscription game.

The question is why you quit in the first place? If it was because you felt you done almost all content then starting again would make sense. If you tired of it you might enjoy it after a long break, or not. If you didn't like the direction the game was going in from vanilla then I would stay far away, there are plenty of other games at least worth trying.
  • HyperpsycrowHyperpsycrow Member RarePosts: 913
True..i dident like the direction they went after vanilla...The huge downer for me was when i found out how the specs and skills works now...ect i choosed warlock and found out i had less skills to dance with than i had back in lich king days..like i can only cast shadow bolts in demon spec and dots in afflict spec and so on...that part was a huge turn off for me..and most loot was served on a plate for me every time i farted...and the economy is realy crap now..i liked wow before but i guess i found out the hard way how bad it has become..its like they made the game for kids only !!   Having less skills to use cuz kids found it to hard to manage with more skills...and this garrison thing was awfull boring and waste of time..This game has become a circus with untallented clowns trying hard to be funny !!

I am not sure that more skills equals more fun, I see skill rotation a worse problem both for Wow and other games but that is just me. I rather have 5 skills I need to time right then 25 I rotate.

More skills and using timing are not mutually exclusive.

If you just rotate them anyways you could have 200, it will still be just the same.

The right skill at the right moment is the way to go, you could teach a dog to rotate skills.

The pre expac patch and the intro to the DH and Legion stuff just leaves me feeling deflated. It's just more of the same old same old and nothing different to what we've seen a million ones before. No innovation just a cookie cutter game as gone before that has probably been knocked out as cheaply as possible to milk the cash cow. I can't see me having to motivation to play the expac even though o bought it.

Might sell my account on EBay and get some salvage for this cheap crap, which will stop me being stupid and trusting enough to spend any more money on it.

It is possible to ask for refunds. Here is my answer from blizzard supp.

"I'm pleased to tell you that I've now put in the request for the refund of the amount totalling 44.99 € EUR and soon a Senior Game Master will perform the necessary checks and verifications before approving it and returning the funds to your account."

You sound like you already made up your mind and don't like the game, so why bother? It's probably not worth your time/money. Play something else that appeals to you. Apparently WoW does not.
