  I personally don't care and do see it as a "sort of" subscription.

  There is a certain subset of the gaming community nowadays that will complain about anything and everything.  In a game in which you can 24/7 AFK fish, AFK auto path strength and stamina, AFK travel, AFK craft, and AFK process, complaining about being able to save a few silver from a reduced tax on items sold on the AH is just mindless and redundant whining.

  It's pretty much a subscription mmo, but it still shafts you, since you still don't get everything free from the game, like you would in other subscription mmos.
  
  I'm better off playing an mmo where my purchases remain permanent.
