And so I am giving this another shot.. any help for a newbie?

I am coming from Darkfall, played MO launch but when I spent hours exploring with the extremely slow walking and then found absolutely no content, I coulnd't take it and it never kept my interest... but now that Darkfall is gone for who knows how long, I am more willing to give it another longer go.

So this looks like a very group oriented sort of game... care to accompany me when I am ready to visit the nooby PVE?

I play with teamspeak/vent of course and am 35 years old, prefer to play with other adults.

There are many other games out there so a lot of my staying depends on how good the community is.. this game is pretty old now I remember when it came out (I played it and then spat on it).

    Well, i think you'd have to go back to your original reaction to the game, its much older now, which doesn't help, so finding other mature players may be a problem, finding other players in general in fact, might be a problem, if there are any 'active' official forums, you might want to start there. Good luck, personally i think you'll need it. O.o

    It's not as good as DFUW by a long shot. But the PVE is pretty good, getting back to it recently myself and hoping it will keep me busy. Ryzael is my current character, reroll with nothing right now, feel free to look me up. 

    Maybe another axis 'n' allies like MMO will hit soon, like you said, game is pretty dated but not too horrible. Combat is certainly slower than Darkfall. And the bright side, quests are already here and more pve to do than just farming all day. Exploration is amazing.
