Funcom has released the first gameplay trailer from Conan Exiles, the company's foray into the survival MMO genre. In this trailer, sandstorms, crafting and giant bugs are shown off in the minute plus and very beautiful trailer.

    Well, one thing's clear: it will be a very pretty game !

    But I suspect that the game will thrive or wither on its combat, and it's impossible to evaluate that in this limited trailer where everything's in slow-mo...

    I really hope they do well with this one though.

    its funcom so i kinda mixed...sure its looks good but gameplay is every think.

    Well, it does show you can build buildings and towns and I suppose cities.

    I hate to say it, but I have to agree with the folks commenting on Youtube -- that looked really low-budget and shoddy, to me.

    I think the premise of the game coupled with the Conan setting could be pretty cool. But, that trailer was pretty poor. I hope they massively clean that game up because that didn't leave me at all impressed.
    Hopefully it will improve alot before launch, but I've seen Funcom launches before; they tend to be underwhelming.

    It says right in the video "BUILD" and then goes on to show a character building a house, then later a small town/village.

    I like earlier Funcom games and I think I might like this one but I don't like the modern business practices of the game development industry.. I guess they do what they have to do to survive, which is especially true for Funcom seen in the light of their financial troubles but that makes it even more sad.

    Story, Objectives, Content, Variety and so on.

    Most survival games just put you in a world and it's FFA with no other objective but "survive" to "dangerous" zombies when in reality they are quite easy.

     2. your knowledge of the survival game genre is outdated. There are plenty of pve focused crafting/survial/build games.
    3. regarding 'variety' these games have about 10000000x times more 'variety' the most AAA titles ever have had
