WoW Movie Reviews are hitting the net.

So far the reviews are not looking that great, what do you guys think? Have any of you seen it, or somehow managed to get an early viewing?

    Honestly would find watching WarCraft larping more entertaining.

    meh, I say if you are inclined to see it "see it" and make up your own mind.

    See this movie.. I absolutely love this movie with the exception of some issues I have with how they changed the story:

    And yet the reviews I've seen from "regular people" aren't so kind. The people on Amazon seem to either love it or hate it.

    Rather than looking at critici their stupid ass reviews, you should look up common people's reviews. And most of them appearently had a blast watching it. Atleast that's what I could summarize out of the 50 reviews I read.

    Its basically a dumb movie... which I'm surprised anyone even expected more. Personally this kind of movie is good to see once since its entertaining at least but not something that is going to be amazing. As soon as a movie is based off a game, your expectations should be set to mediocre at best, otherwise your going to be disappointed almost every time.

    reviews will generally fall into one of three categories

    people that kno nothing of warcraft or any lore and see it as another gratuitous cgi nightmare with monsters

    people that have knowledge of such and hate that there is the slightest deviation

    people that have knowledge and are just happy to see any sort of live action version



    roughly 33% score sounds about right

    does that person even know Warcraft lore? much of Warcraft lore is gritty... yeah the game has puns and jokes, but the background lore is all gritty.

    the First and 2nd War wasnt a joke. many died during those wars. the third war had people turning into walking dead. is Walking Dead show a joke to? (dont answer that). I like the gritty stuff. I just want a better closer to the IP storyline and full CGI. but i will judge when i see it.

    It's not a surprise. Most movies made from a game are terrible.

    Didn't Wing Commander get like a 10%? I can't count how many times ive watched it....

    Being realistic, how good can it possibly be? It's a two hour movie yet they could easily make three two hour movies based on what they are trying to cover in just one. Assuming they stay faithful to the lore, I just can't see how they can possibly cram everything into two hours while simultaneously fleshing out the characters enough for neutrals to even care and fans to feel satisfied with how they are represented. It'll still be good to see Azeroth on the big screen but I'm going in with fairly low expectations.

    Is it a huge summer blockbuster that should top the charts? Of course not and anyone who thought it could be is utterly insane. Its not going to rival huge movies like any Avenger movie or such.

    But is it a bad movie because of that? Of course not. For me I enjoyed it and would even buy the DVD/Blu-Ray when it comes out just because although I'd probably wait for a good sale price. But I went in with NO expectations of being blown out of my seat like an Avengers or Star Wars movie. Also out of the 3/4 full theater I was in (in SE Asia) I didn't hear a single boo and not a single person complaining afterwards which I have heard on other movies from time to time.

    So for me I'd rate it as worthwhile to watch as long as I'm not paying $20 per person.

    most critics are to enlightened, and intelligent to like an action  flick, its more important to sound cool to thier fellow critics then to enjoy a movie for what it is. Personally I seldom even bother to read the "official" reviews
