Greetings,

 Asheron's Call 2 is Back! I know its been back for a while, but I wanted to refresh peoples minds that they can go play it if they have an AC2 subscription. The following post contains information on how to download the AC2 client and get logged in.

    Some additional good resources to help get you started. AC2 doesn't hand you anything, so you really have to read quests and know how to travel around.

    Is there still an active player base?  In my experience, it's near impossible to accomplish anything in AC2 without a group.

    There are people playing but it realy depends on your playtime if its US or EU and also lots of people are playing more than 1 characters at the same time.

    The population is very low at the moment, but I still see a lot of people on. I play mostly in the morning, so I don't run into many people. The game does it very hard and require a group for a lot of the content, but I love the challenge.

    That is correct. You have to have an active AC1 subscription to log into AC2. This would mean that you would need to own AC1, which is still about $10 bucks. AC1 was one of my long time favorites, but its hard to get past the graphics.

    Apparently you do not even need a subscription anymore. The game is free to play if you own AC1.
