IMO, the game's quests led the player too much down a breadcrumb trail, and punished getting off the beaten path. Wildstar needed to be about a world, not a pre-crafted once-through adventure.
@ scorpex-xSorry bud, the game is dead and it has not closed down yet. "Dead" ≠ closed down... Dead is extremely low population and I suspect that you actually do know that and just want to be contrary for whatever reason. You can't come in and change the usage of terms within this sub-culture on a whim because "you say so." It doesn't work that way.The game is without any doubt dead.
That's just, like, my opinion, man.
There was really only one main problem with the game when it first launched that I honest can say was its biggest downfall. It catered to the hard core raiding niche, which is actually a smaller player base than a lot of people want to think it is. Many people didn't want to do the requirements to open up the raids, and bitch and complained that they actually had to do the work to open the raids up, which in itself was a way to ensure you had the right gear to do the raids. Some instances themselves were actually pretty hard and required players to produce maximum dps to finish off the end boss, which if were not geared out right with the set you picked you could not complete. Then you had the ridiculous 40 man stuff, anyone who has ever done them knows that they can be a mess. Takes an hour just to get going then, people do their own thing and don't follow the commands during the raids. Most people don't want to sit around waiting to do things and don't have the time for it anymore. It has been shown that the average playerbase today is between 25-35, which I am older myself. An most people of this age don't have 5 to 6 hours to sit in one place in a game anymore, especially during a weekday. All an all the game itself is a good themepark game with an interesting storyline, if like me you enjoy questing and story. But its downfall was the main thing they really pushed which was it's raiding.
