I just got this today and thought it was pretty cool stuff.

I think that the fact that AR and VR and up and coming technologies at the same time will ultimately benefit everyone. Greater innovations, pushing the envelope, huge investments, etc. 

What do you think?

    To be fair VR has been doing this already for at least a year if not more.

    I think it's a little superficial to say "Anything that VR can do AR can do as well." I mean on the surface that's true, but they are both different technologies as far as their aim. VR is and always has been, about immersing the user in a virtual environment where AR integrates items into the existing, known, environment. The difference might seem subtle, but that difference is what drives the majority of the marketing. I think that VR is very entertainment oriented, which makes total sense. AR is very much marketed as an everyday technology (as far as MS is concerned anyway). I don't know if VR can bridge that gap, or if they even should. If they want to fight for something then I would say fight for the simulation and cave environments. I don't think that VR will be an everyday, all-day use item. I think it definitely has a place, though.

    I didnt even say that...

    what i said was the whole 'virtual teleportation' thing is something that is already old news and fairly common place in the VR ecosystem and has been for some time already now.
