And you can get your gear up to +12 supposedly. So if he's failing this bad at +6, despite spending lots of money in the cash shop to do so, how is anybody else going to accomplish this? Especially in a game where your equipment can be destroyed. Terrible system.
Because what he was trying to do can and has been done without spending money. He wanted it fast so he paid money and did not want to put the work into it in game. **smh**
Lol that doesn't make it any better. It just makes it sound as terrible as every other Korean MMO enchanting system I've had to deal with, except worse than most of them since your gear can actually break.
Agreed. It is in open beta though and changes are going to happen. The best we can do is voice our likes and dislikes to the changes being made. Regardless, it is a fun game and will only get better.
I agree - games have changes all the time even after beta, as long as I'm having fun I'll roll with it.
I doubt this game is all that good. It's first look videos don't look all that impressive for one thing. But looking at the forums they're having all sorts of issues - people can't login to the website or game due to some strange error that looks like it's Webzen's fault and through all their games, people are complaining that PvP and PvE queues don't work (either that or the population is so low that they're not popping, which is also not good), one guy posted trying to enchant a level 50 weapon past +6 a ton of times and with a ton of some safeguard item purchased off the cash shop (like thousands of this item) and he has yet to succeed. I mean this was just a cursory glance at one forum and I got all of this terrible stuff.
This game just smells like cheap, badly done, and old Asian tab target themepark Western port by a company that notoriously does a bad job on games, yet leaves them open with small communities, terrible localization, P2W cash shops, and little customer support for years. I don't see any reason to even download this. Everything I've seen thus far about this game supports that assumption.
You must only read negative posts then, since everything you've seen supports your assumption. Probably should go with your assumption and not download the game, as I assume from your post that you would not like the game at all.
I tried this game today because of this post. Logged in on the EU server the first time at 09:00 CET got to level 10 asked if there was anyone on, 2 people replied.
I created a healer at around 16:00 CET and did the same thing, 6 people said hi and I asked if anyone played this game and they got upset because "why does every new player ask that quesiont" or "Getting tired seeing that question every day" - I was laughing and thinking to myself, well maybe there is something to it if everyone that hit level 10 asks...
I tried again at 01:00 CET and 1 guy replied in faction chat once I hit level 10 on my warrior. Queued for an hour for the first dungeon, because why not test that while I play a few rounds of R6 siege, I gave up on the queue and did the dungeon on "easy" in about 10 minutes, killing the end boss twice because apparently you get a free "ticket" to summon him again after your first kill.
So yeah, Either there is no one playing this game or everyone is already level 50 and doesnt reply to faction question.
The art style is great, the questing is ur usual do this blabla hub based themepark thingy. The combat is tab targetting and its pretty easy.
I saw 2 people in total on my 3 characters on my road to level 10 on each of them. TWO. And hardly any faction chat was going on in that time.
I would actually like to play to 50, but the population seems EXTREMELY TINY at best and I think its a better option for me personally go get back into BnS.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

I bet the gear enhancing system is working as intended i have seen plenty of games were it get's difficult to plus gear aika reminds me of one i didn't stay playing that game long either and seen so many f2p games not recieve attention some actually don't deserve it, some do, some just end up being so p2w it destroyed the game i can see were this is heading and sorry i don't speak cow any more.
If the publisher shows they are putting care into the game they are publishing then i don't mind giving them money even if it is p2w but when a game gets really p2w and it destroys the game then it's time to go i don't know how bad Asta is because i never got that far.
Theres a few more people on the US server but it feels so much like low level WoW that it gets boring pretty fast...I feel like I've already played the game.
I have noticed there has been no mod responses today on the forum only staff members of webzen i hope they haven't disappeared aswell but they probably have this is so sad all these people rushing for server firsts and they are going to mean nothing probably in 6 months apparently that is how long Archlord 2 lastest and weird someone said something like that but i never played it so i don't know what it was like.
I keep forgetting to say they haven't even locked the overpopulated faction and i don't think they intend too either you can still join it i brought something up on their forum and i got a reply so i don't know if they mean't that they are not going to lock the server or not but they haven't yet so.
I went back to read his reply they are supposed to be adding an incentive to join the underpopulated server so what they will be i don't know but i hardly doubt it will get people to stay or go play on that faction because you can't let one faction get more populated than an other in faction pvp especially in an open world one people have been complaining they can't quest i saw a streamer last night try and get to a du ngeon entrance solo the other faction just killed him.
So the unerpopulated faction is suffering from not able to do dungeons and raids because they are underpopulated and having to suffer because they can't quest because the other faction just kill them that will lead one way and that is a dead game i like how gamers kill the games they play i am not even sure they know they are doing it. lol
I downloaded this game because of this thread. It is probably the best f2p WoW clone I've played, but the problem? Population. I saw fewer than a half dozen people up to level 25 and waited in dungeon queue for hours as a HEALER. So...not for me. Good find though, if only it had players.
C9 is Webzen and it gets updates. So has ELOA. Age of Wulin just released an update, Chapter 8, which was in the news here on this site. So I think ASTA will receive love but without players what will it matter. =/
We can expect updates on C9 to continue since not all NHN developers can follow their former game director Kim to Black Desert Online.
ASTA developer, Polygon Games, however might not enjoy the benefit and status of a 'core studio' in Webzen. A Chinese game journalist who toured the studios observed that while NHN game studios have great, spacious and well equipped working environment, Polygon games is housed in a separate, blander look building.

If you look at the first review on glassdoor for webzen that is how i feel about their games and not a good review in my view and it's so recent, is 2.4 a good review score ?
I have heard of people using it before but i don't know how good the website is and i can't see the others you have to be a member.
I keep forgetting they are recruiting it seems some people probably left and that first review is obviously one of the recent people to leave it makes sense now the date.
That dublin office is in charge of the US/EU servers i think correct me if i am wrong but i think that is the only office they have for US/EU servers.
I have already said webzen probably got this game cheap it wasn't even developed for them so they are probably putting in a little as effect as popssible and hope that stupid people spend like 200 euro or dollars in the first 2 weeks of open beta so they can get max profit with so little effort put in this probably was the only new game they could afford to publish what they thought they could milk people with but i don't know how these things work if they have to buy them or not but it's pretty obvious what is happening.
The review above so makes sense i wonder will they ever get round to finishing the guides before the server closes i don't think it will take long and all them first achievements just seem like a total waste and will probably be all forgotten in 12 months.
I hope they prove me wrong but i have doubts they will.
but if you are leveling you will probably find the game very quiet loads of people have already left i stuck it out for 8 days the population was too low for the game.
What game are you comparing it to? most games have low medium population anymore, unless you compare it to WoW. I don't play ASTA, but it looks and sounds better than most garbage i've seen lately.
So it's not just me that thinks MMOs today don't have as many players as they did three-five years ago?
Could be there's considerably more MMOs to chose from today than 3 to 5 years ago, so it dilutes the total playerbase.
Add in the rise in popularity of MOBAs which likely drew a large number of former MMO players (my son and his friends all fall into this category) diluting the pool further.

Too much choice can actually be a bad thing.
Well if you have a look at Webzen's games why some are still open i don't know they are obviously just milking them the staff is probably very little at that dublin office the games are probably run by very little people to keep the cost down what do they call it skeleton staff and i bet some haven't been updated with a proper expansion in a while.
I would say more mmorpgs came out late 2000 early 10's than there is today but that is when i started playing MMORPG's so it may of been earflier than then because i didn't start playing until early 2009 some cames seem to be running on life support.
Even Aeria games have cleared up their catalogue of games i went to look a month ago and they seem to have gone quiet even though i don't really play their games i tried try one and it got closed down said they were working on it but it never got opened up again.
I don't even know when i last heard of perfect world with a new game these days the only time i hear perfect is neverwinter.
I tried a moba recently last year all i can say if they don't improve it i can see it not doing well and will end up like dawngate.

I take it you are Thaititanic on the asta forum because your posts are basically the same i don't know if you can see my posts or believe them but i have been posting how low the population is for days and nothing is really being done about it i can't believe how bad this game has gone so quickly but it never had a good start in the first place
The review i posted from glassdor makes sense and why the game isn't getting the proper attention it was posted 2 days before the game launched and they posted this on their forum not long ago.

I can't believe people are giving Webzen money they obviously don't know about the problems or don't care.
