Dragon's Dogma Pawn skill question ...

So I changed my mage pawn to a Sorcerer pawn, was given the choice to buy certain Sorcerer skills but the game doesn't allow me to equip them on the pawn.

What am I missing?

    Does it allow you to equip the mage skills?  You will also see an icon when hovering over the skills and it will show if that particular skill is for that particular class only.  So you can purchase skills from mage line and use them as a sorc but only if that skill doesn't have the mage picture attached to it.
    Are you onto something or just on something?

    You realise that mage and sorcerer use different weapons?  Do you have a sorcerer weapon equipped?

    So I have the different weapons so that's not the issue.

    Going to the mage I don't see the skill Exequy. Goign to Sorceror I see it but trying to apply it doesn't work.

    The sorcerer loses their ability to use healing spells. Most classes lose powers when they change.

    Exequy can only be used with Archistaff, mages cant use that type of staff only the sorceror

    Well thanks all, I "recheck" everything and double check witch staff I have equipped. Clearly it must be something like that.

    Edit: wow, and just like that I figured it out. There seems to be a bug. Normally I have been double -clicking on skills and they equip. That was not working. I happened to hit "enter" and voila, I can equip the skills i couldn't equip. Funny thing is that "double-clicking" allows me to equip other skills but just not a subsection of skills.

    Thanks for all who replied and got me trying different things.
