I believe this is the image he posted, although I actually think it was the one without the character in there.

I'm getting a definite LOTRO Bree vibe from that picture.

I think i know the end result just because my long experience in gaming, but i HOPE when i see doors ,they actually work as doors and i can enter them.

Problem is most devs including big money ones like to cut these corners on game design.Personally i just don't like fake 2D backdrops, aside from of course say a mountainside or similar because every game needs a dead end boundary somewhere as they are only flat maps and not some  giant round earth.
I know for small teams it is a lot to ask to have every structure operate as a realistic entity but it is what makes gaming fun for me.
Basically i am not a fan of instancing at all, like clicking on a fake door to warp enter a building,is not something i like.Like when STO first released ,after about 20 minutes of gaming i came upon an elevator, the thing didn't even operate as an elevator,i just clicked the door and it warped me into the next level,at that point i deleted the game lol.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

All the doors are real, and all the buildings can be entered. Nothing is instanced.
