Best news I have heard in a while. Maybe too many more years will not pass before it arrives xD. I'm pretty patient though.

Neowiz? They're one of those terrible cheap F2P publishers like Webzen and Aeria games aren't they? This is terrible news. There will be no PR, a last minute CBT to launch timeline of a few weeks that we'll hear about a few days before it starts, then it will be a shitty P2W cash grab. Someone please tell me I'm thinking of another publisher.

No more like a new and improved version of Aion mixed with, I dunno something else.

So what kind of game is Bless?
It's a F2P open world PvP Korean action MMORPG.

I am near ready to give up on Korean game design,no matter how they appear slightly different they never are,you can tell without even looking at the developer the game is Korean made.I have tried soooooooooo many korean games it is sickening and i never come away happy, their games always feel cheap, generic and boring with very little if any depth in systems.Instead what i usually see is identical cash shop tropes, skill up potions, stat improvement's the more you pay and ideas like rng CS systems that are never there to be fair, only to lure you into some casino type system where you are throwing money into the slot machine non stop like a madman.

To make it clear,Bless looked promising to me,has been on my radar for several years, however all my attempts to find one good game out of Korea have been failed attempts,so of course i should be skeptical/doubtful.Probably like the 50 games prior,i will try it out and quit within the first day.

To the poster above, you can bet the cash shop is p2w,i would bank on it.They don't seem to have the same morals we do over here, they have no care or feelings behind p2w,they would gladly sell you an instant win token.

To others it is at least now a total open pvp game, everywhere you are open season to pvp.Large battles are massive lag,no gear drops only crafting mats.

One key CS item is spawn where died, this will be a heavy used CS item.

I think the game is going to struggle badly, pvp is as i always say a bad idea in an rpg setting.Level 30 you quest in the opposite faction territory,so yeah even more pvp going to happen.

Why the heavy CS use on respawn? What do you think happens in these games when players get ganked or killed, they get angry, want revenge and they don't want to look around and find them so they buy instant respawn pots.Another reason is Bosses are designed to one shot kill, meaning you might miss out on loot unless you respawn right back in place.

Positive note the game looks really good and is using Unreal Engine,i believe it is UE3.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I sort of got that it's a pvp game. I didn't know it was action oriented.

Does it have interesting systems like Black Desert. Is the pvp open world and on all the time? How is it similar and different from other Korean titles. Is it total gankfest pvp? Are there pk consequences? Is it pure pvp or pvpve?
"Action oriented" and not "action combat". It's tab target with limited hotbar and some dodge moves, but it's kind of bad from what players are saying. PvP is faction based so there isn't really PK going on. Game is a mix of PvP and PvE. It's mostly a themepark with a heavier focus on two faction based OwPvP, large batles, and other such elements.

Ive given up on Korean games also.  I've tried many times and constantly disappointed.  Might just be a cultural difference but I can't seem to enjoy Korean games.

Knowing your taste @Recore (similar to mine) I think you will love it!
In other threads I've talked about my love for ESO.  Blueturtle13 since you seem to play a lot of Korean games, is there any current Korean games or soon to be released games in the West that are similar?

The cash shop is not P2W for BLESS. In fact, the cash shop is extremely limited because the devs have said for a long time now that they want 90% of players to feel comfortable playing completely for free. There is no gear in the cash shop. The only kinda-sorta "required" item is a peace buff that makes you immune to PVP for 10 minutes, on a 30-minute cd, which is only required for players who aren't into PVP (which means they probably won't enjoy the game anyway). It's OwPVP after level 30 with both factions questing in the same zones.

All classes can be played as tab target or action combat (with nearest target receiving the single target attack). Each class has three main specs as determined by an equipped "core" skill. But you can pick and choose most of the passives, actives, reactives, and additional skills usable in combat, and changed via loadout system out of combat. It's essentially a hybrid between TSW and ESO.

There are still 2 classes missing from the Korean version, 1 race yet to come, and level cap will be raised before long. The game features an extensive collection system with almost every mob being tameable as a minion, pet, or mount (yes, ogres can be mounts). All three of those tamed types can be upgraded both in level and quality as well.

There is RvR, GvG, ranked PVP, 3v3, and large-scale PVP (200+ players on same map). Game needs a lot of work (e.g. waiting on banks, dyes, changes to crafting, etc.), but should have most of the bells and whistles developed before they come to the US.
