and when everyone starts bitching on the forums about how long they have to wait to get their hulls replaced because they were ganked over and over how long before you think CIG changes it to instant replacement or adds a option to the store that lets you buy a speed up timer?
Regardless of what happens, one thing is certain: there will be a great deal of bitching on the forums ! :D

Umm, people are getting ganked over and over again in the current ptu because it is  a single system, with no police.

In the fully released game there will be many systems, and we dont even know how big the server capacity will be yet.

My point is you will not be getting ganked over and over because you wont want to be ganked over and over. You will die, insurance will pop, you will spawn on a policed sector and have the ability to be safe, until you CHOOSE to go into more dangerous areas.

Lets say they allow respawning in lawless sectors, then you will spawn, be in a station or planet, have your ship in the hanger and no there are people waiting outside to gank you...... then NOT go outside. You know just like EVE does.

Despite what the naysayers will say there will be a huge advantage to shelling out cash both with lifetime insurance and the other with the value of their ships in game which some will take 3months+ to achieve with a guild.

How exactly are they going to be ganking you over and over? Since them being in the same instance as someone is going to be random chance to begin with. Not to mention that they would need to know where you respawn and the fact that if they are ganking people then they are going to have npc security or other players on their ass the second they enter a populated area. Add to that the fact that they are not going to be putting anything in the game to prevent someone from just QT'ing away and this scenario you are talking about becomes far less likely.

It will most definitely be an issue and it will  be handled exactly as Archeage is handling it - sweep it under the rug.  No one ever wants to upset their whales.

Heck the people who spent thousands of dollars already get life time insurance which is a HUGE advantage over all other players. Imagine never having to worry about losing your ship because you can just get another one.... Practically encourages griefing
You're off about 2 things here.

1: It's not just people who spend thousands that get LTI, it's also many of the early veteran backers who pledged to kickstarter. I have LTI on my constellation, but I do not have LTI on any other ship.

2: It's not a huge advantage at all. It's a very minor convenience. CGI has mentioned already that insurance will be very easy to afford. Once you've begun to establish yourself in the game a bit, you will literally never have to worry about whether you can afford insurance again. Similar to flight path costs in mmo's like WoW. After level 10 or so? You never even look at the cost to use a flight path again.

And just because your ships easy to insure and get back, does not mean there's no penalty to your original ship being destroyed. You will most likely lose all of your upgrades, cargo, etc. It could cost a small, or large fortune to replace all the extras you've spent putting into your ship.
