I don't want to make a long list, but there are Animes that are in top 100 movies of all time, won Oscars and many other international awards. It is by all means art.
This isn't an issue about censorship, from my understanding. They withdrew sales from the West because of the rating system, not censorship, which hurt sales that would primarily be coming from minors. Instead of changing their game so that they could have more sales in a different region, they've opted not to do so.
No matter how you want to spin it, these games (specifically the video you posted) depict sexual acts (such as tit rubbing and jacking off) between or involving (what appear to be) severely (10? 12?) under-aged children. That is looked down upon in the Western market, and as such, sales will be lower; games of this sort never do particularly well in the Western market from my understanding, so they likely pulled out of the region because of this.
It's just not the market for it; nothing to do with censorship.
Do any of you even get upset when you see who is sexualizing REAL children and putting them on display in your own country? No, I didn't think so..
Last month, a community manager for developer Team Ninja implied in a Facebook post that the decision to not publish Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 in the West was due to "many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry."
This, of course, feeds right into the OP's gynophobic world view.
But yeah, what we actually have here is a peddler of child porn moaning about having to comply with the customs of other countries that are less permissive than Japan with respect to manga pedophilia if they want to make the kind of profit they're used to making, finding that it's too much hassle for them and pointing fingers at the same gamergate boogy(wo)men trying to get those scumbags to rally behind their "fight for freedom of expression."

Agree . If talk about Japanese game , i prefer English sub instead of dub . They just need to release the version with multiple languages .

Boobs and butt naked female toons are childish games that you find for under 6$ on Steam and are meant as a joke more than anything. For a huge title though, I want something serious.

All of you who play games for cartoonish breasts and butts, have you ever tried googling a porn site? Pete's sake, do yourselves a favor and google some pornography, watch some Hentai porn for all I care. But leave sex out of major titles. I'd rather have devs work on game play and class balancing through out the game instead of having them balancing breasts and what color thong to put on goblin female characters.

If I want to sell a game in China I have to meet a host of requirements and get government approval before I can even think about it. Government doesn't approve of my game, I can't sell it.
That's censorship.
Japan has fairly strict laws regarding penetration. If your game depicts sexual penetration without blurring the genitals, the government will not allow it to be sold.

It's less about censorship and more about shitty games not recovering the cost of editing the games for English speaking markets.

Torval posted above the original video that the OP linked, and also noted how the OP removed the video since it completely contradicted the basis of the OP's argument. It's obvious the OP didn't even watch the video he posted in the first place, instead they just immediately went into rant mode about censorship. Which, by the way, isn't even the crux of the issue; if you care to actually look into it, it's clearly evident that the publishers don't wish to spend money in order to edit their games to appeal to a broader audience in the West.
It has absolutely nothing to do with censorship.
