Since the last time we talked the CUniverse pushed through another stretch goal and it was a BIG one! Pandora’s hidden box has opened allowing stealth in all of its underhanded glory to be unchained! As if that wasn’t exciting enough CSE has unveiled a new stretch goal and two more sets of classes which means 6 new classes (9 total so far)! That was a lot of exclamation points!

Thanks Tim, and MMORPG.com as always. BTW, it's Black Knight, not Black Night. :)

And Fionn Mac Cumhaill is pronounced Finn MacCool, not really translated as, but I get where you're coming from. T

Good summary. Grats on the STEALTH stretch goal. The game needed some stealth mechanics to keep it edgy. Now on the class reveals, my Ranking of the six: Tank [Heavy] = BK is my least favorite but to ordinary, MjOlnir seems cool much like a Thane, Fianna with regeneration is best for stained fights. Archer [all with camouflage] = Winter shadow with their sword n board skills make them very powerful. The Blackguard are the true long range defensive archers. Forest Stalker with the plant based CC will be by far the funniest archer to play. Basically, so far all the classes look very appealing to play. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. This week's reveal is going to be quite interesting and, I hope, unexpected. It's easily one of my personal faves.

Out of curiosity, what would be your next choice?

As to Beta, yeah, us too. We have a long way still to go, but things are lining up nicely here.

I like CloakedDonkey's idea of picking favorite class from each trio (I believe that, also, the least liked ones might give some useful feedback, but I'll skip that here); For what it's worth, I'd go with B.Crow, B.Guard & B.Knight.

I was always a huge fan of caster classes that could charm and use NPC's to do my bidding. Loved my Minstrel. I hope they implement similar classes.

I'm more of the insane all powerful archmage type of player. You know the one that ponders on what country to meddle or destroy today. But hen again, you dont aspire to become an archmage without ambition. And with ambition comes trouble. So puny Archers and clubswingers: prepare to succomb to my power words and epic glorious disintegration spells........ Bwahahahaha !!!!!!! Tinuelle shouts: STUN!!! You succomb to the power Word and fall unconscious.

I'm so happy, it looks like one of my favorite trios is going to be revealed tomorrow. They have a comfortable lead in the poll. I like these folks so much that one of the classes is being worked on as a poster for the game, as well as for one of the iconic images for the game. Can't wait.

Thank you so much for that. Michelle and Sandra are two really skilled and multi-talented artists. Plus, Michelle still has one of the best "origin" stories as I talked about in the DragonCon video.

We're really trying to keep our concept art <-> in-game models, as consistent as possible. We don't want to wow people with awesome concept art which will not be reflected in the game. These are still concept pieces of course, but our aim is to try to implement what we are showing now.
I still have the devout trio circling around my head! I might end up playing one of each! I'll have to roll at least one archer too, that is just a given. Likely the Viking one but long range is kinda my thing so...
Just wait, even more interesting classes coming.

Mark Jakobs, can races wear armor of other factions so you get more diverse look than what we got in DAoC. Everyone of same class looked the same more or less which didn't felt so great. One of the disadvantages in DAoC was that the world felt really really small, when you more or less could only travel within your realm and PvP area and not to the enemy areas. You could more or less only travel to half of the world with any given character.

While waiting on Mark's reply, you can check about CU world (it should be very big); Also, speaking of gear, besides dyes, emblems etc. crafting should be very diverse, both in looks and stats.

As for the world, the only area you likely can't get into is the enemy safe zone where their main city resides. This will be a much smaller percentage of the total land mass as all the enemy pve zones in Daoc. I had thought I also heard Mark or someone very recently (perhaps the last class reveal) say that CU will have one large central land mass that (possibly) won't move. Could be wrong but the statement sort of stuck out and stuck with me but I haven't heard follow up on it specifically.

    You stay sassy!
