hallucigenocidehallucigenocide Member RarePosts: 1,015
so during this fall i wont be home much(only weekends) so i wont have much time to play on my pc but i bought a tablet so i can browse the web etc. during the evenings while i'm away. anyway there seems to be quite a lot of games made for these now and i have no clue about that really. i've pretty much only played on my pc so i'm not in the loop with what's going on other platforms.

it runs on windows instead of ios or android and it has an attachable keyboard if that helps.

I had fun once, it was terrible.

If you've got access to Windows + keyboard + mouse, then any of the usual MMOs as long as your tablet has good enough performance to run it.

I don't think there's any tablet that could run the modern MMOs, but something like Guild Wars 1, Runescape, Dofus or Wizard 101 would probably run just fine if you bought a good Windows tablet.

EDIT: As a bit unfortunate side effect of having Windows on your tablet, don't even bother looking at the tablet MMOs. Nearly all of them run both on Android and IOS, but normally they won't run on Windows /EDIT

I don't know much about IOS or peripheral/mobile gaming ,only what i stumble onto.

There is a JPN game fro ma developer that makes only that type of gaming.Former Square Enix guys are there and they have a game that was a super mega hit.

    http://www.gungho.co.jp/english/business/smartphone.html

Then there is Square Enix themselves with several mobile games
    http://www.square-enix.com/na/game/mobile/://

Then imo the leaders of the entire gaming market by EPIC GAMES

    http://epicgames.com/community/tag/mobile-games/http://

I guess Infinity Blade 1 is on sale 3 bucks lol  and Infinity 2 is likely even better.

If i was not totally against mobile gaming i would be playing Infinity Blade 1 and 2.

Into the future Hiromichi Tanaka formerly of FFXI went through serious health issues but says he wants to make one last great game and it will be on mobile,i am sure the game has already been worked on for awhile. He works for Gungho online gaming.

Then into the even more future Square is partnering with another jpn giant "Nexon" to make a mobile version of FFXI,even to brag that it might be better than ffxi.
they say it will be f2p.

I know there are quite a few on android that people say are pretty good, there is also a decent wow clone but I cannot remember the name chaos rings or something.

Order & Chaos Online is probably going to be your best bet for mobile specific MMO, but like Vrika said you should be able to play any Windows based MMO though the modern ones you'll probably have to play them on the lowest settings with all the effects turned off depending on the Tablet you have more specifically its CPU and GPU.

    Order & Chaos Online?

It looks like it's also available for Windows: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/order-chaos-online/9wzdncrfj11v

EDIT: Some other tablet MMOs that look like you can play them on Windows:
    Albion Online: https://albiononline.com/en/
    Pocket Legends: http://pocketlegends.com/

For every tablet MMO that works on Windows device there are about two others that won't work.

At the moment, tablet/smartphone games are predominantly cash grabs, and for a tablet, you'd probably get more mileage out of candy crush or something.

I think it actually is the best choice. You can play every Windows MMO, if your tablet is powerfull enough (but you will probably need mouse and keyboard as developers dont support touch too often even on mobile ports, I really cant understand how they are so stupid :) ) AND you can also play any mobile MMO that is in Windows Store.

Its true that most of "touch" MMOs are mainly for iOS or Android, but thats because none would play that shit (shallow cash grabs most of the time) on Windows device (and developers know it). But any developer can publish the same touch MMO as on other platforms to Windows Store (if they want). You should also show your demand to developers and request Windows port, if there is any MMO you want to have in Windows Store.
