Please write a small review and tell me if you think that it can make a comeback like ESO.

I would suggest you try the  free trial.  The game has lots of people ( as far as i know  while playing on EU-PVE )  with content that i believe are good for most kinds of mmo gamers. There is solo content ( lvling , shiphands can be soloed, adventuring-yes people cry about the linearity of questing lvling, but most haven't explored most of the map...). The group content is quite decent aswell ,  with world bosses , dungeons/adventures/raids ( and pvp , not really sure how many play cause i just returned after 4 months ). Most of the player base is friendly , as opposed in many other mmos.

Last but not least game goes f2p in 2 months i think  so expect  a huge wave of incoming players. Also i think content is on teh way aswell after f2p   ( i may be wrong again ).

Sorry for not being able to give you are good review , have other things to do atm . Hope i helped

Please do not listen to the haters and stop it with the hardcore crap just because a games progression system is longer does not make it hardcore how is it casuals can play skyrim in few hour sessions but not mmos? The first 15 levels pre f2p were a bore fest now they will fix it with the new player experience.

No no no and a thousand times NO
They refer to their existing playerbase as whiners and losers.

They also make a laughable comparison of their game and WoW, and it's just isn't there.

The game is fun and funny. The creators have a light playful sense of humor they bring to the game. Had problems getting good fps on a good computer. I really wish they would go away from ground tells and try to aim more for the character giving tells on type of spell/shot. I also think this game could go far with a realm rank type of system for more end game character advancement.

Wait for the F2P patch to drop before playing, since it addresses a ton of complaints from launch. The stat system was overly convoluted and there isn't a lot of people playing at the moment despite an overall rise in population. Basically, the game is going through a major change in less than a month, so any initial impressions gained now won't accurately reflect the game in a month's time.

I returned (for a second time) in anticipation of F2P and I am so glad I did. Honestly the thing that kept killing my motivation was population and the just atrocious leveling experience. I was finally able to get to 50 and the game opened up so much, and the population seems pretty healthy right now (and should only get better). This and TSW have kind of always been my two favorite MMORPGs, which sucks since they both went through/are going through pretty rough times, but that is the way it goes I guess.

EDIT: I should note that the leveling experience is being tweaked for F2P to streamline it and make it less grindy, so there is that.

If you at all like themeparks and action combat, it is definitely worth the insanely low box price right now ($10 at gamestop) to get in and grab some extra goodies and grandfathered account perks before it goes F2P. That said if you are looking for an instant queue/faceroll dungeon style game, probably best to stick with WoW.

You make it sound like instant queues are a bad thing? Could you explain how Wildstar is something outside of queueing for stuff? I mean there's a certain degree of wait time I'm willing to tolerate but when it goes above the 30 minutes for a simple dungeon or PvP match that's kinda pushing it. That's kinda what made me bored of FFXIV, the PvE queues are fine but the PvP queues, holy crap are they awful.

I never said it was bad? I said if you want instant queues and quick easy dungeons, Wildstar is not going to be the best. Population is lower, therefore queues take longer, and the dungeons are not as easy. If you want to instantly click queue and get into the dungeon, either wait and see if F2P takes off, play WoW or some other lobby based game.

I never said it was bad, I simply said Wildstar will likely not appeal to that crowd in its current state. But if you dont mind doing dailies/contracts while waiting for queues, you should be fine. I dont queue up much so I cant speak to average wait times, but if you are going to set arbitrary limits than it sounds to me like you just want to do dungeons and to that end WoW is going to give you more enjoyment with its cross server queues and larger playerbase.

Wildstar is a lot better then you would think based on the reviews.  I highly recommend it.

Can try it out for yourself in 3 weeks or get one of those 10k cbt keys that was being passed out earlier today.

I didn't think it was bad, at all. It can be tiring since it's constantly in your face with something. I found it over-stimulating. This isn't a game to relax to but I could get past it with short play sessions. My main issue was optimization. Which, unfortunately, is still really poor for me.

I don't have a single game that heats my card past 60c under heavy load, and Neverwinter Nights 2 really likes to try. Just going into the login screen for Wildstar today, without actually logging in, my card immediately jumped to 72c. I have no idea what the issue is but I can't afford another graphics card right now so I will have to pass on Wildstar again, for now.

If your machine can handle it I think it's definitely worth trying. You may end up hating it but it's soon to be F2P so you, most likely, won't be risking a lot.

P.S. Before anyone asks my system specs:
    AMD R7 250X
    Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.30ghz
    8gb RAM

Just wow, if there mind set still like that when one have to be this skill level to do this, then they'll never learn what they can't keep getting people as sub and keep them.

Pretty funny there like we fix all the bugs, bugs never go away is a pc game and then other part find funny players don't want to feel like a 2 class pretty much in a mmo. Let see if they change that idea look like may not be like that way who know.

Any how got wait and see if there mind set change when they see what type of player they get and make the game around them if they don't then it's not so good.

If it has a free trial, try it.  The reasons pro or con, are good to look at (If they explain), but you need to add the self tour to firm your own opinion.

    It is worth a try.

I find it odd that they are revamping the first 15 levels as I found these quite fun; it was the subsequent 20 levels that bored me to tears. There is a particular zone around level 30 that just has horrible quest pathing and lazy quest design that was unbearable and really needed an overhaul.

    PROS

It has a fun art style and animations, it has great cosmetics and the housing system is well designed.

Unfortunately for me it had far more cons than pros:-

    CONS

The combat is repetitive but requires considerable attention, which just makes it exhausting. It was the worst of both worlds. If I play an FPS/TPS game it requires a lot of attention, but I am constantly stimulated by the combat so it does not feel tiring. If I play a tab-targeting game it is dull but I barely need to look at my monitor so it does not feel tiring. Like I say, this combat is dull but requires your attention so feels incredibly tiring. It is essentially your normal rotation plus dodge, but you are constantly and consistently dodging different shaped red blobs on the ground... which forces you to just stare at the ground for long hour after tedious hour.

The issues with combat extends into pvp. Because every attack is an aoe ground blob, the pvp just becomes a flustercluck of overlapping shapes and colours, and any skill or tactics go out the window.

So combat is my number one issue with the game.

My number two issue is that the quests feel ten years out of date. They are all the most basic fetch, kill, escort quests. Their conception and design is lazy. There are many more quests than you need (and doing all the quests is in fact a hindrance to levelling), but they are all the same, and offering hundreds of the same thing does not equate to choice. As I stated above, the quest pathing is also poor and requires you to tread the same ground repeatedly.

But there are also unsolicited achievement quests where you have to kill/collect X number of whatever in Y minutes. These flash obnoxious text and timers all over your screen on a regular basis; you will desperately try to ignore them, but you cannot, and they quickly become infuriating.

Which brings me on to my number three issue with the game. They constant attention whoring, the flashy text, the timers and so on. It becomes irritating very quickly.

And they are my thoughts on the game.

     - linear themepark gameplay

     - over the top "telegraph city"

Way to necro a 60 day old thread that does not really apply anymore since the game will be free to play in a few more weeks allowing people to decide on their own.

The game is most certainly worth playing, it's had its problems but the devs have spent a lot of effort and I have to give it to them, they have improved the performance issues for AMD which was a blocker for me.   I think the levelling process is polished smooth and is fun , end game is hard instances (a nice break from the aoe spam fest in other games) and a brilliant housing system.  I think  this game is going to take off with free to play and it deserves it imo.

For me  its Wildstar for that classic mmorpg experience, and ESO for the WVW PVP.  win win.

    rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar

Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D

Even not hosted by Trion but losing people and money faster then arche age. And it's not P2W and it's sub something wrong with this picture.

Good to hear they have improved the performance significantly.  I'll believe it when I see it though.

I do hate questing especially the linear kind.  I wonder if there is anything else to the game other than linear quest grinding.  I love character building but hate being forced down a path and running errands for NPC's.  It just doesn't feel like a virtual dangerous world if they rail you from place to place.

I will give it another try if my computer can get above 30 fps staring at a wall.

Yeah it's ok for you to say that but a developer should be a bit more humble towards their existing playerbase. Especially Carbine studios. They really can't afford to do that.

As for Wildstar, i only played on a trial account but i did enjoy it to a degree. Only litt1le gripe i had was that at times there were a lot of things going on onscreen and it got a bit confusing.  Other thing was that i chose Exile over dominion. The few hours i played dominion were more enjoyable to me ( cant really say why)

I have feeling that the game will be extremely popular as F2P

It has very high production values since it was clearly made to rival WoW, but P2P today is very hard to justify for new games, so now that they moved to F2P tey will finally hit that sweet spot of interest.

Also the game had over a year of polish since release and many mistakes were unmade.

This will with no question be super hit.
