Las time I tried in Europe (2 months ago) it had serious lag spikes.

If a low pop server like jabbit has lag issues I wonder what will happen when ftp players will come at this fall

No doubt Carbine will turn the F2P transition into a mess.

But i still love this quirky little gem of a game.

Nice to see some brains around here !!  +1

It runs smooth now on my 5 year old system so yes.

it's still a random mess it seems.. lots of players say it's better and others say it hasn't changed a bit

as for me it worked best during beta.. now it seems to be slightly worse every time i pick it up again to have a look :P

I had fun once, it was terrible.

I was most likely the loudest person to complain and yell about Carbine and their hurruble piece of an engine. Joining back lately, FPS have at least doubled for me, but then i upgraded my videocard in the meantime and dont know what contributes more to the performance gain, the improved coding or hardware.

I still read alot about issues on AMD hardware though.

With Wildstar it's the best to dl the trial and try it out on your own machine. Better check various zones though, as performance is sometimes unsteady across certain areas.

And performxe has allways been poor in comparison To all the other , I tried again a couple months back and pwrfomance was stroll atrocious. I will try again with the FTP, this was the Major game killer for me, fingers crossed something will change, I do fancy a themepark raids type game to as a nice side game.

    rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar

Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D

apparently the UI and quest tracker and what not cause alot of fps issues. and since they're basically addons maybe the player community has made some better ones.

I had fun once, it was terrible.

So I wonder if the CS will become the main focus of the devs once it goes F2P.  Just look at LOTRO and Rift for examples.  Doesn't matter to me.  I dropped this game back in early beta and certainly wont touch it now.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Runs like garbage on my 8 month old system, so no.

Yeah, time frame (within a reasonable 4-5 years) doesn't necessarily indicate a system's ability to run a game or not. There are folks who bought Core 2 Quads and high end X-series Core i CPUs and high-end GPUs that are several years old and still use them today. It all depends on the build. I'm not saying it is, but if you built a crappy 8 month old system and someone has a high end (or even mildly upgraded) 5 year old system, then duh, the older system might spank the new one. All about the parts. I don't know what the fuss about performance is, honestly. I have a Core i3-4160 with a GTX 750ti SC (no 6-pin) and it runs in 1080p just fine with mostly high settings.

Performance is so subjective, though. Tough to compare anything without knowing specific specs and FPS each system is getting.

Based on past actions, but realizing that there's a whole new team involved, I do not have any high hopes for the game.

I came back when they announced F2P (tons of CREDD allows that), and found it just as dull as I had left it, with a couple of guilds pacing through raids slowly. Dailies galore, uninspired vet shiphands...yeah not a game for me these days I'm sad to say.

I felt this way during CBT and just could never get into the game.  I don't feel Wildstar is a bad game, and it did seem to have a lot of potential, but the game is just dull to me.  I played a lot during CBT and posted several times on how the itemization and the stat break downs were not the best systems.  At least they are looking at it now, better late than never I suppose. :D

I get what they were trying for the stat system but it just failed. Its to confusing. ITs good its changed over-all even if it makes 'balancing' runes and  the like less 'simple'.

This is a fun game and I'm excited for a new crowd of players showing up. Seriousness needs to be left at the door and everything taken with a grain of salt or your experience will be short lived. My opinion of course!

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
