The current site's private message feature does not allow me to PM another user. The script pops up and immediately finds all the errors on the message (empty message, No topic, etc.) and basically stays in an error message. At no time, do I have access to the form that it is complaining about.
Did this change? I was able to send PMs in the past.

I sent you a PM without a problem. Try cleaning out your cookies, using another browser. I use Chrome and this site works well here. Sometimes just closing and reopening your browser can fix small bugs like that.
P.S. also first rule of tech support, reboot your PC. Did you try that?
Foxfire, current version. Removed all cookies from mmorpg.com. Restarted Foxfire.
Still unable to use the 'Send PM' or 'Private Message' links from a user profile. The 'Reply to Sender' link got a bit further along -- it immediately tried to send Nan the same message he sent me, but failed on the blank security field.

Silly question, did you reboot your PC?
P.S. I am installing firefox to see if I have the same problem.
P.P.S. Installed Firefox and sent a PM np.
Yes, hard reboot before restarting Foxfire.
I am beginning to suspect that it may have something to do with I have the Shockwave 17.0 plugin set to 'Ask To Activate'. I had set that when this site had all the issues with Flash security a while back. The last time I used the PM on this site was in Feb 2015.

1. Do you have Firefox updated and current
2. If rebooting your PC dose not work and you really want to keep using Firefox. I would follow the steps below to backup your bookmarks. After you have exported your bookmarks uninstall Firefox and reinstall, this time import the bookmark file you saved.

Uninstalling add ons can also be a thing to try. Remove one at a time and close Firefox and relaunch after you remove each add on. When PM works you know what add on is the problem.
P.S. Also good to make sure you have the latest Java and Flash update.
It appears to be something with Firefox. I have several add-ons that are duplicated, including the Shockwave Flash version that shows both version 16 and version 18. Version 16 is the one that had security problems earlier this year, and Firefox marks it as a security risk. Problem is, both versions operate on the same control, e.g., setting either to 'Never Activate' sets both to 'Never Activate'. When I did this yesterday, Firefox stopped operating and it got removed.
I reinstalled Firefox, but the version 16 is still there. There is no way to uninstall the version 16 Adobe/Shockwave, and it doesn't appear in control panel. I suspect the issue is buried in the Registry. I haven't had the need to dive deeply into registry since XP and I don't have a good Registry tool for Win 7. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Try using the about:plugins page to find the physical location of that old plugin file on disk. (Type or paste about:plugins in the address bar and press Enter.)
Traditionally, on 64-bit Windows, it would be here:
delete the exe and the dll.
