Anyone else find STO hard to play due to lack of immersion?

Every time I start to get into STO the immersion is shattered by something.

Your ship runs into planets, and suns.

There are invisible walls all over the ground missions.

You walk like you ate Klingon food from a shady meal truck.

The animation for scanning and shooting are stilted. Why do you always have to tap your chest to transport even when you are on the transporter pads?

I have no problem with the graphics, just the animations and the way players interact with the environment.

The blending of so many milues also is an issue, all the different uniforms, ship types and equipment makes the feel like it is trying to include everything Star Trek in one box instead of concentrating on 1 era.

Anyone else have problems with this?

The animations and ground combat were the worst I've ever experienced in an MMO.  Really off putting.  I couldn't stand playing beyond the first couple of hours.  It's a real shame.

yea , the pacing has always been a problem with this game

if you want immersion, you practically have to just stand still

a mission starts, and just when im really fired up..it ends

some of the newer missions are a Little better, i.e longer

the animations look a lot better with Windows 8, go figure

its not the best, but its getting better every year,  and i will continue to feed their hamsters
