So now the moderators on reddit decided to they are not having any B2P or F2P posts anymore, they rather censor any productive or well thought out discussions. So here it is, the WORST MMORPG community in action.

Why would you have a "RIGHT" to free speech there?
why should they allow countless B2P-F2P speculation threads? I don't get what the problem is
and the mod is not a Carbine employee obviously
I don't recall there ever being a productive thread concerning b2p/f2p in any forum ever. Could be wrong though heh.
Did you actually read the response? It seems very reasonable. And the mod did say that if actual news about the game going b2p/f2p was presented they would not remove it.
So "no" no "North Korea" there. Especially because, as one poster put it, there is no issue with "freedom of speech" there.
I really wish they would teach that in schools again as it seems some people don't seem to know what it is anymore.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that policy. Those who run forums have every right to decide what is and isn't appropriate topic for the forums that they run.
Personally, I would just merge all of the F2P/B2P topics into one megathread and then moderate the trolling posts out on an individual basis. I'm not the one running the show over there though.
I think that's a decent idea and I believe I evensaw one of their posters suggest something similar. But maybe the moderator thinks, from experience, that will be too work intensive? Don't know.

Indeed. Why would you expect a right to free speech there?
(Hint: Before you answer, go look up what this right is actually all about, or continue to post and show your ignorance. )
Read the full post guys. The issue is not that players are discussing a F2P/B2P model it is mostly just "Is wWildstar f2p yet?"
If you have any evidence (Such as when copies here pulled from shelves) Then that is fine to talk about.
Also not a carbine employee.

The Wildstar subreddit isn't run by NCSoft.
I believe that's the issue, the moderator indicates that all the threads are devolving into troll bait or fights.

Since you have no clue as to what you are talking about I shall explain it to you. Reddit is a privately owned message board service. They have the right to say what can, and cannot be posted on their website. You do not have Freedom of Speech, you do not have Freedom of Press. If you want these things start up your own message board/website and make your own rules. Until then you have to abide by the rules set by the Mods and Admins of Reddit. Dont like that? Fine then dont post on Reddit.
"Possibly we humans can exist without actually having to fight. But many of us have chosen to fight. For what reason? To protect something? Protect what? Ourselves? The future? If we kill people to protect ourselves and this future, then what sort of future is it, and what will we have become? There is no future for those who have died. And what of those who did the killing? Is happiness to be found in a future that is grasped with blood stained hands? Is that the truth?"
you also have the right to be completely ignorant of your rights. . . . .

The subreddit has 3 moderators....one of which is a Carbine employee.....
...so no, the subreddit isnt "run by NCSoft", but this is indeed being condoned by Carbine directly...
when u have more ppl arguing in reddit/XXXXXX about your game going f2p than actual subscribers....something is wrong lol
j/k :P ,but looks like today Ncsoft will publish Q1 earning report .....
I find it interesting that the mods are doing an all out ban on talking about FTP/B2P just literally hours before Ncsoft's Q1 earning's report comes out.
Regardless, it was done for a valid reason. The topic was being spammed over and over again with each thread devolving into a toxic pit. The same would happen here if it went too far. It's clear it got to that point on the subreddit.
I agree with Reddit on this issue.
It is their website.
All website mods are free to allow/block any content they see fit. Even on this site the Mods would delete treads if they became an issue. Remember the ESO leaks posted here that were stamped out while the NDA was in affect?
