    first of all, calm your tone. It's unnecessary.

    Second of all, I didn't know the footage I only knew the music. Had he said "Used the same footage" I would have picked up the specific thing he was referring to.

    As it is he is correct in that they stole the same footage and put different music. I had never seen that intro before and didn't know it existed. It's that simple.

    I noticed that too and it's so obvious it's not funny. It's litterally the exact same FF footage.

    Wow I wouldn't even call that a rip-off, they took the original FFXIV ARR intro and song 1:1.

    This isn't comparable to what Nexon did with Diablo 3 art. Can't believe this company is allowed to run and make advertisement in the west.

    Really if some fans using copyright material get banned and sued in not time and they make even openly money with it.

    Here is a point of note. The link the OP supplied provided the same "winter mountain footage" but a different musical piece from FF14. The second time I clicked on it, it WAS the song from the final fantasy 14 (with the vocal) but with another opening final fantasy 14 movie, not the winter footage but the one with fire raining down.

    It's so insulting and "stealing" that I hope Square Enix runs them into the ground.

    On one hand (even though I wouldn't agree) I could see them making a parody of sorts and having similar scenes with music that is reminiscent of the final fantasy music. That also would be horrible in my eyes but it wouldn't exactly be stealing. 

    but to just "lift" it? 

    would a chinese court uphold the rights of a japanese developer?

    Really wonder how they can steal all this art from top publishers and get away with it. Guess international law doesn't mean much anymore in Hong Kong since they aren't governed by the UK anymore.
