Outfit Designer Video: just appearance tabs

A long requested feature, but it still costs credits or cartel coins to both unlock and "set" a tab for use. If this is their focus for the 3.2 patch, it's going to be a boring spring/early summer for existing players, YMMV

Nice video. Good to see the system in action!

Dulfy's also got a guide on it for those who prefer to read. http://dulfy.net/2015/03/20/swtor-outfit-designer-guide/

As for 3.2, there will also be a new planet.

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=8093545#edit8093545

    Highlights
New Planet: Ziost! The Imperial planet Ziost is the focal point of an escalating crisis. Level 60 players who have completed the Shadow of Revan storyline can now join in the fight against the former Sith Emperor!

New Feature: Outfit Designer! You can now have up to 16 outfits created and saved with your unique look! This new feature can be accessed on the right hand side of the Character Sheet.

Why are they so fixated on making appearance armor a credit sink?

I wouldn't worry about that. Dulfy's got the numbers on that link - it takes 880k credits to get all 16 outfits, which is very easy to get nowadays at level 60. Just doing the 55-60 storyline will get you there easily, with some pocket change to spare.

Then you still have to pay every time you set a new piece of gear on the tab, but even if you only paid for the outfits, again I ask, why are they so fixated on making appearance armor a credit sink?

I'm guessing because there's very little else to do with your credits. Most of the time I use mine to buy packs or outfits from the GTN. And because it's replacing the current cost of constantly transferring mods, which easily cost 10k+ a piece at the higher levels, meaning each armor piece you replace will cost you at least 30k opposed to the 14k under the new system.

And that's without even considering augment slots (and the augments themselves). It's a vast improvement over what we currently have.

As opposed to other MMOs where we get it all for free? xD

If you are that hard up for credits, you might want to consider leveling a character past 10.

Bah , useless crap, watching the video. Unless it's a system that lets me swap out between PVP and PVE gear quickly , it's pretty well a garbage quality of life upgrade. This is a failure Bioware, if this is all it does.

THAT SO MUCH OMG! It's from Rift btw. Idgaf if Bioware rips Trion off, does something similar and kills us while nickle and diming us. WE NEED THIS! Hello! It's year 2015! Wake up fktard!

GW2 has a similar system. I could've sworn there was another MMO too, but it's not coming to me.
