If you think the VC guys are going to pay for a lot more continued development, you are smoking crack.

This game will "release" soon, "finished" or otherwise, VC firms want their money.

Us normal folks had no idea it this was a cash grab and that the guys at SOE  (Daybreak now) probably knew ahead of time that they were going to get sold...

We thought SOE was just letting us buy into a Alpha that we could test and help mold it into something we could enjoy.  We had no idea what was going on in the background.

I always did wonder why this was the first alpha/beta that I have ever tested that had no ingame bug report system...

Anyways like I said this is a very very fun game but Daybreak cannot deal with hackers really, ingame and out it appears.  .  As I speak it seems they are in the middle of another DDoS attack that has pretty much knocked down ALL of their games and their servers.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

No, but stay away from it as it is just as bad as WarZ or DayZ Standalone.

Here’s the thing, corporate money for game development is drying up.  Some think it may soon be gone.  Meaning only existing companies with established revenue streams will continue.  Those who used to invest or saw “gold in them thar hills”, don’t any more.  Investing in an MMO has proven to be a bad investment, with little or no hope of seeing expected returns.

Those who want to continue to make games or even start see crowdfunding as the only way.  This doesn’t mean that the crowd is now and investor with right of profit sharing and input.  The crowd can expect to have none of that.  Why pay for a game in development, that may go free?   Because that may be the only way games get made from now on.  During the Renaissance, painters had Patrons.  Wealthy individuals who paid the expenses of artist, to access to their services.  The equivalent of owning a digital camera at the time.

The crowdfunder gets to hang out in the workspace (game word), as work progresses.  If the Public doesn’t have access to any QA submission, that's because they are not part of the QA process.  The QA team has bug reporting software on their desktop, because that's their job.  When the public is allowed to submit bugs, they will be checked and filtered before being officially added to the list.

If you are fine and dandy with the games that are out there.  And you don't want to see new games made.  Then don't spend money on games in development.  Just sit back and enjoy whats already here.

As if it could exist, without being payed for.
F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing.
    Even telemarketers wouldn't think that.
It costs money to play.  Therefore P2W.

You will spend hours upon hours working hard to build your base, collect 14 rounds of ammo, hide a stash etc and a hacker will spend about 10 seconds flying over your base walls or barricade and erase and steal EVERYTHING... PVP or PVE server it does not matter hackers love us all.  Thought you had a stash out in the woods somewhere? Don't worry, we got a hack for that...(look it up)...

And for those that will come in and say that they barely ever see a hacker you are either 1. A hacker or 2. A liar.

But don't take my word for it people please go spend your money on Hack1Z1 and see for yourself.

It's a very good game and BR is fun and hell and at this point in time I suggest that is all you try.

And of course you reported your experiance to SOE/DB?

I mean I really expect a Alpha game to be flooded with hackers/crackers and what not. So the developers have time to see all those issue's before going open-beta or even release.

As for the game I still have my doubts if it's something for me. Only survivel/zombie games I have enjoyed are 7 Day's to Die, State of Decay and Dead Island but that game did got beaten for me with Dying Light..hehe.

  • There's literally no good reason to buy the game. There are better unfinished zombie survival games out there that aren't Pay2Win. H1Z1 is just a poor man's deatmatch.

7 Days to Die Alpha 11 is going to use H1Z1 for toilet paper.

Even the current version of 7DTD is the best
