FF13 promotional code

I've recently bought a PS3 along with the FF13 games. Registering the 1st one gave me an email with s promotional code for FFXIV. I have looked at the (new) mogstation, but I can't seem to find anywhere to drop that 20-digit key. Is this FF13 key still valid? Also, what kind of promotional item is it?

    From what I remember that was for the original FF14 and it gave you some gauntlets with a minor crafting bonus or something.

    I'm not sure what it would give you but there is a place to enter it under account services under the bonus item code registration tab.
