Ever since our recent partnership with MMORPG, us YouTube-loving gamers here at TGN have noticed that a lot of MMO players have absolutely no idea what we do! Well, I think a little introduction is long overdue.
Read on to find out what we're all about, and why we teamed up with MMORPG.com.
Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

See? That wasn't so hard after all. If this little bit of information had been posted back when the partnership was announced you could have killed two birds with one stone and not had to make a second post explaining what TGN "was" and "did".
Thanks for the thorough explanation.

If only Bill had put this in the original a week ago...

Kyleran: "Now there's the real trick, learning to accept and enjoy a game for what it offers rather than pass on what might be a great playing experience because it lacks a few features you prefer."
John Henry Newman: "A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault."
FreddyNoNose: "A good game needs no defense; a bad game has no defense." "Easily digested content is just as easily forgotten."
LacedOpium: "So the question that begs to be asked is, if you are not interested in the game mechanics that define the MMORPG genre, then why are you playing an MMORPG?"
So does that mean out with the bottom dweller mmo ads and in with the more mainstream ones?
some of those bottom dwellers are pretty fun tho
Uhh.. no they're not.
Boobs, chicks, boobs on chicks, chicks showing boobs, chicks showing boobs making sexist comment, dragons, chicks with boobs near dragons.
I've just highlighted the last 6 months worth of ads...
Hiding this sites ads has become a priority since we've asked for quite a few ads to be pulled. I try to be selective so they generate revenue but they're pretty trashy.
If VPN or TGT or whatever this youtube thing is (that I'll never use) helps generate revenue for the site, good for them.
Early access reviews NO THANKS.that has the internet in ruffles with totally biased reviews because that is how you get the early access.
Partnerships well we already have so many sites catering to partnering with Facebook and Twitter and i don't like it,it is all about money and profits and NOT about gaming.
There is only one reason a site starts massive changes ,it is looking for more monetary gains.
Gamer's have one goal when seeking out a site, they ONLY care about seeing gaming news, they don't care about advertising or articles that LOOK somewhat construed to cater to advertising.
This trend in gaming sites and their designs is a BIG reason the entire community of chat has got a bit down under. It is because when you cater to BIASED content it rufffles feathers and starts a lot of controversy within the chat place. Then you get sites that create all sorts of nonsense rules to cater to what they created a bad place to discuss gaming. You can't pour gasoline on wood and not expect a fire, then blame Joe user for starting the fire.
It is never more obvious when you look around and actually see some huge gaming news but then enter a site and all you see is some articles about a weak mobile game or browser game.SO users ask themselves,HOW on earth does a team that is out there searching for great news miss the obvious and end up with articles on games nobody really cares about?
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Can I make a slight alteration to that?
Gamers have one goal when seeking out a site. They only care about seeing "honest and unbiased" gaming news, product reviews and advertising.
If a site's managers/owners have the integrity not to screw around with the people that use it, it will gain a positive reputation and excellent retention rate of users. If they adhere to ethical practices sites will be trusted and respected in the industry. Isn't that worth something these days?
Prove to me that you won't sell out or resort to underhandedness and I'll stand beside you for the rest of my days.
I want to believe.

That is one of my favourite things about this site....
this sounds interesting, best of luck with it.
Pro tip, dont go overboard with new ideas all mixed up. I dont want to see mmorpg.com go the way of the dodo for trying to cover everything like crazy. Another of my favorite sites (gbtv) has been going downhill ever since they started doing similar stuff.
The basic opinion around here seems to be "if I don't agree with this it must be biased". You can argue about how content "feels" paid for or biased but it's all just your subjective opinion.
In the end you just like the site or don't.
