The waiting, the expectation and the spending of too much money is obviously starting to take its toll on some people...

You should see what the Goons have already made for Star Citizen. Propaganda EVE style, videos, mini-movies in recreated 3D engine, banners .... of course they are all totally loco, but in a funny way.

Interesting interview with CIG's marketing lady Sandi Gardiner, where she especially mentions the fans. And i think her remark about the hardcore fan community is quite true.

*** Begin Quote ***   All told, Gardiner admits a game of this magnitude is a different beast altogether from the films she's worked on, and much of the difference comes down to the community's active nature.

"In film, you're not really in communication with your audience," she says. "There are Q&As, Comic-Con, press junkets... but it's not during the film. But you don't have 10,000 people who want to see The Hobbit in the middle of production, saying, 'Hey, what's happening here?' It's a different level in gaming — it can be very stressful. The gaming community is interesting. Quite hardcore. It's definitely not for the faint-hearted."  *** End Quote ***

Starfleet Dental has been around since before Star Citizen and they've always been like that.
