So is Rust.
"Early access" is just newspeak for "released but go easy on flaming our bugs."

So true lol
Divinity: Original Sin was mine. Blows my mind every time I think about that. I've heard Wasteland 2 is good too, but haven't played it.

Just picked it up with the Steam giftcard I got for Christmas... definitely in the same league as Original Sin.

I wanted to vote half the games in the Indie RPG list, so many good things have come out of Kickstarter this year... and Shadowrun: Dragonfall isn't even there, which is another masterpiece (probably because the site considered it an Expansion of the original Shadowrun, which was released in 2013?).
Either way Divinity, Wasteland 2, Banner Saga and Transistor are all masterworks that gave me far more enjoyment than any mmo this year, and only Dragon Age: Inquisition saved face for the big budget companies in the single-player department.
Bound by Flame, Lords of the Fallen and Legend of Grimrock 2 I also finished, all good games in their own right. All in all, a great year for the RPG lovers. I hope this trend continues, I'm quite happy forking my cash towards indie projects that give their heart and soul into making games for the players, and not exclusively for their wallets. (I'm looking at you EA / Ubisoft / Activision / etc.)
My opinion is my own. I respect all other opinions and views equally, but keep in mind that my opinion will always be the best for me. That's why it's my opinion.
Not really it's the same as any other MMO except the solo leveling is actually fun. You group up for flashpoints, heroic quests, raids, BGs, and Arenas like every other MMORPG out there. Except unlike most MMORPG's whose solo leveling experience and storyline suck, it's fun in SWTOR. I've been playing it lately and I actually feel a better sense of community than in other games I've played lately - TERA, ESO, GW2. In fact I actually group up more in SWTOR while leveling than in other games, on top of the fact that it's endgame is the same as other themeparks. Because the population has a good mix of levelers and endgame players (good game design IMO) you actually have people doing the group quests and flashpoints during the leveling process, so you don't have wasted content and empty zones like in most other games.
My wife and I teamed for every quest in SWToR. They did a good job with that, unlike games like ESO that make it a real pain to team questing. ESO is more an almost MMO then SWToR.
You got extra rewards and advancements for joining people on their story but teaming for questing does not sound like your thing. I just dont agree with the post above, SWToR made sure every part of the game could be teamed, even the solo content. You even got rewarded for doing so.
See you next time you need info on a new MMO or want a beta key =-)
OH GOD THIS SITE'S INTERFACE IS AWFUL!!!!
Every hear of paging your comments? Or testing your site on different browsers?
And--really--the link to ROUND 1 is at the very bottom of all the comments???? Instead of at the top in the introduction to ROUND 2????

2. Divinity: Original Sin - I suspect I'll like Wasteland 2, but I haven't played it yet. I would suggest adding a category like "Best Indie Debut" in the future. There's clearly a difference between indie Larian, which is a significant studio with a record of commercial success, and indie startups like Experimental Games, maker of Boot Hill Heroes.
3. Hearthstone - Not a big fan of TCGs, but I had fun with Heartstone and it's influence is spreading. FFXIV:ARR is adding one of the card games from the FF series, and I wouldn't be surprised if Pazaak finds its way into SWTOR within the next year either.
Just wanted to point out that Hearthstone is CCG not TCG.
I didn't vote for any of those pick's as i've never heard of most of them.
