You might want to look at the tally so far... LOTRO is crushing EQ lol.
You think so?
My money is on something much newer than EQ... something like TSW: a game that is almost never brought up in a negative way.

I think only a few likes this format. Even though my favorites got through im not a fan of this format.
It is like the random lockboxes we all hate in the cash shop.
Oh it was. TSW launch was about 2 months before GW2 and certain GW2 fanbois were bashing TSW 24/7 back then.
I consider LOTRO a better game. Maybe back in 1999/2000 EQ was the best around but not anymore.
It must bug the crap out of them that TSW consistently edges out GW2 as the top voted released MMO here by the narrowest of margins.
Hey Bill... something to consider maybe for next week when it's down to 8, or if not then, the following week when it's down to 4: have each MMO face-off against all the others remaining... that'd be 28 votes when there are 8 or 6 votes when it's down to 4 (it's not 56 for 8 or 12 for 4 since A vs. B is the same vote as B vs. A)

In my situation almost every bracket this time was a MMO I have played vs one that I haven't so of course, I voted for the one's I've played instead of those I hadn't. (GW1 vs DDO being one exception that I recall, and of course I'll vote for EVE over everything)
Fun poll though.... just can't take these things too serious.

See that's the problem with hating. Better to just love them all. Although it's OK to love Scarlet Blade and League of Angels less... but even those have their....assets.

I thought Bill said in Round One that the pairings were random.
I have my doubts WoW will win. This site has been a notorious nesting ground for WoW haters. WoW should win based upon the fact that the game has completely dominated the mmo scene for a decade now...that alone shows the quality of the game regardless of what the detractors might think.

Strange about ESO vs Destiny.
Tbh with the undeserved awful PR ESO keeps on getting hammered with I would have thought that Destiny would curbstomp ESO. Turns out it's quite the opposite. Not to mention that they're in two completely different genres. Sure, they're both MMORPGs with (sort of) similar gameplay, but you can't really compare a sci-fi MMO to a fantasy MMO.
Imo a better matchup would have been Archeage or GW2 vs ESO, and Destiny vs. Planetside 2.
And here's my predictions for the next round of Newcomers:
Much easier now, that most of my voted ones fell out during the first run - which is fine with me, never liked the overhyped / overpopular but also weak games. Underdogs ftw
Besides my mains I also dropped a vote for TOR in the upper and DDO in the lower region, even if they kicked out Rift and STO... heck, one vote goes to PS2 as well, true it pushed out Defiance, but it still is a cool game, and also it's for the good cause
(I mean, against AA? anytime. lol)
When was that consensus reached?
