South Korea is 245 times smaller than NA, and lag isn't as big a problem there.

The reason why it was never implemented in any release after the korean launch is XL no longer supports Archeage development.   After the Russian release they moved their entire development team over to a new project.

    Exactly.

Also another reason why Korean companies are lax on client security - the vast majority of Korean gamers plays online games from Internet Cafes which are locked down to each users social security #

The idea of each gamer having their own PC at home is foreign to them.

Why do you make up all these reasons when it is clearly known and easy to proof via google search that:

    1. The per capita penetration of computers and broadband internet access is very high in South Korea.
    2. The Social Security Number is used because of The “Shutdown Law” aka “Cinderella Law” which was basically a law passed in 2010 that forced children 16 years old or below to stop playing online games in the wee hours of 12AM – 6AM. The implementation of Shutdown Law was rather simple, any gamer playing online game must register their account using a Korean social insurance number (similar to social security number in the US). Once the clock ticks 12AM, the Cinderellas are forced out of the games.
    3. You need to register every game account with your SSN not just in internet cafes.

This has nothing to do with the quality of the games or cheating at all.

Quick answer ...as North Americans we are so far behind we think we are ahead ...no need for a combat queue in a modern world

AoC uses lag compensation for E.EU players in the ukraine , and surrounding areas, I wish they remove it so we can start kicking butt again. At the moment NA players are at the mercy of lag compensation.

Your Mbps has nothing to do with latency.

Also, you better make some research how ability queue or lag compensation actually works...

Because he clearly defends some game no matter the accusation, facts and what ever, while bashing other game for similar reasons. Who knows..

Why don't they have the ability to send an ingame mail to your entire guild or at least more than one person? It would appear that the stuff which is standard in Western MMos is not the same stuff which is standard in Korean MMOs.

So how do they do all their Gold selling hacking?

Clearly, if it's a small country with high-speed net and most likely the vast majority of MMO players are confined to one or two urban areas, then combat queues are irrelevant. Why go to all the expense and hassle of implementing a feature that is irrelevant to your target market ?

    But it's all a mystery...

South Korea has something like 80% internet penetration and some of the highest net speeds in the world. Yet playing MMO's in "internet cafes" (PC bangs) is extremely popular. Some other factor (cultural ?) must be important there.

Or perhaps they have 80% internet penetration because most of the population goes to PC bangs... ?

Perhaps they accept hacking and goldselling as normal activities ?

Perhaps it's almost non-existant due to the SSN requirement for game access ?

Perhaps they don't cheat much because there's a strong social stigma attached ?
