they posted a version without live stream lag and direct audio from the game. Great music too which was not audible on the livestream. Sounds fantastic

This isn't the Persistent Universe Demo.

It's the Planetside Demo. Both are different terms. PS will be coming first (if it ever comes although there is a good chance it might come since most of it is in-game rendered cut-scene and a small map) and then it will be merged with the PU.

they already launched the first combat module Arena Commander and the FPS module will be released early 2015.

They have 61 million $, that is enough to release the game twice. Of course it will launch.

and this is just a small demo of what will be coming

most interesting will be what their AI will do with the NPC population, they will all have a daily business routine

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUDfQjGVmn4

skip to 4:20 for an early demo of NPC avatars intelligence

they have now 10 different types of character routines for NPCs on planets

"More Detailed AI Activities – we’ll add ten distinct types of AI character roles on planetside environments! At $54 million, this includes Bartender, Doctor, Entertainer, Nurse, Sanitation Worker, Security Guard, Shopper, Tourist, Vagrant and Vandal. Future AI roles will be added with future stretch goals! Each additional ‘class’ of character will be fully expressive and have a role to play in Star Citizen’s planetside interaction AND the game’s greater economy."

More magazine articles about the SC persistent universe (one english, one German) ... speaking about 800+ unique locations in the final version, crafted in different styles but also applying some procedural generation principles.

    Have fun

excellent stuff, haven´t read that before.

I like the ideas of the PU game director, so finally we´re getting believable NPCs doing things that make sense
