My perception of this title would be, "people still play this game?"

Guess I do live under a rock, though usually people say it's a bridge.

Always sucks when Devs make sweeping changes the community doesn't support, been the death of a few of my favorite titles over the years. Hope they listen better this time.

A summery stating the problems you're talking about would be nice.  Links are good but your link doesn't state the problems either it  just provides more links to videos that say what's going on.  Just a thought.

The thing I don't like is how you have to level your ship now as well.  If you have different ships you like to use then it's going to take awhile before they all reach their full potential.

They seem to be making the game more and more complicated with less rewards for accomplishments.

At this point I assumed most of the issues were known and the video goes into the issues in more detail.  I wanted the video to convey a more human element to the player abuse by Cryptic.

Basically the video covers PWE's greed and how all the changes made in game tie back into that.  The changes to PvEs and the added risk vs reduced reward of them.  The video is more the point than anything else, I wanted to evoke emotion of the player base both disappointment in the devs/corporate suits and a cathartic release.  The point of the video is not to upset anyone just provide a release for players and hopefully a plea to Cryptic.

Wow , you consider this new news ? Cryptic/PWI = greedy ? Anyone that's dealt with PWI knew this already. Cryptic is greedy ? Not a revelation either. Recall them selling beta access ?  There were so many incidents after this that indicated where this game was going. Not sure why you're surprised and or disappointed/angry. Cryptic has never been good about fixing bugs, go back through the forums.

You've recently been posting on these forums cheerleading and promoting the game. For years I've been posting that Cryptic is a POS company run by disingenuous group of corporate accounts/managers. You can complain all you like. They won't hear you and frankly they don't care. They never have and never will. They have an agenda to extract the maximum amount of currency from you as they can. To believe otherwise is naïve. So many STO fanbois end up bitter and angry. STO is not Star Trek, it's Cryptic's version of a way to make money on the cheap. They'll trot out a dev with a mea culpa and PR written explanation to try and soothe the savages. Unfortunately if it wasn't for the IP name stuck to the game it would've been abandoned long ago.

As many times as they screwed over the player base , I'm surprised anyone still plays. I love how people believe free to play actually means free.

P.S : I suspect they did the calculations of the player base and decided it was time to try to make the lifers cough up some cash.

I played this game for a bit, was fun, at first. Then I fell into a lockbox frenzy for a short period. That's greedy crap there. I tested it out to see what the percentage of getting a rare ship was. Out of one hundred boxes opened ZERO ships. It is like gambling in a way. Spend real $ on zen, in game currency, open the 100 or more greed-boxes. Get nothing. So ye lockbox gambling same as casino odds of winning under .9 percent maybe way lower hard to say.

Oh and the chat is full of elitist jackasses , worst then Barrens chat ever was. So it is not just the greed that drove me away.
