The countdown to release is well underway for space trading game Elite: Dangerous, and the next phase, Beta 2, starts Tuesday, September 30. (NOTE: Tuesday also marks the day the limited edition wireframe Cobra paint job becomes officially unavailable.)
In other news, Elite: Dangerous made a good showing at this year's EGX in Earl's Court, London, where visitors got to combat test an early Beta 2 build in 4K using Oculus Rift DK2 headsets. Coming off the buzz of a good public showing, the Elite: Dangerous team is in the midst of a ten day celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Elite franchise.
Commemorative T-shirts are available on the Elite store, but fans can also win them by visiting the forums as well as Elite's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. On top of that, a Memories of Elite page is up for players wanting to wax nostalgic about Elite days gone by.
