Dont ask me for anything I gave everything to my former guild.
I love this game, had a lot of fun but lately the game is unplayable, I checked my IP, upgrade my IP services and still the game is suffering an immense amount of lag spikes, like 2 days ago I was in Nar Shadaar, just trolling around and I could barely walk two steps and a bum, 2 steps, bump, 2 steps, bump, so I switch to another planet and the same thing, you cannot barely move inside the city's hub. There are several topics about the same problem all over the forums.
So far Bioware has done nothing to fix the problem and puts all the blame on the IPs, but when you are having the same problem at the same time in people here in the USA and people in Europe playing on the NA servers something does not add up.
I just gave up, I cannot agree to pay to play a game that I cannot play. I know I am going to be bashed but understand I am not criticizing the game, bu the lack of response or effort from Bioware to fix the lag problems in the game.

I can't say I share your problem, since everything's working for me.
Hopefully they'll get whatever's causing it for you fixed.
Take a break and check back when 3.0 comes around.

I've seen quite a few threads about people complaining about this issue in one way or another. It has me curious about what it could be; it's enough different people that it's a real issue and not just local computer screw-ups by people who don't know tech, but BioWare hasn't seen anything weird on their end either. If I had to guess, it's probably something with the small patches recently, but not enough people are getting it/reporting useful information to help anyone solve it.
I will say that it's really disgusting to see the normal forum kiss-asses chime in only to berate the player for it being their fault or not posting multiple timestamped dxdiags and ip traceroutes from 3 states. If you're not interested in helping fix a connection problem, just don't post there, jesus. Like the game needs more people chased away because you want to tease someone with lag they didn't ask for.
To be honest, every MMO community has jerks like those. =/
And it seems like the devs are aware of the problems at least, here's a post from today's dev tracker:

Of course I'm not sure if those are related to the OP's problems, or something else entirely.

Sorry , your links show no pattern and relate to different issues. I would also ask , before you come on and say it's Bioware or any other Dev that you state that your system is operating properly , router is functioning properly and the network provider has checked and verified there are no issues. I've experienced similar issues only to learn it was a failing router. Not saying that's the case or implying it. Just asking that you state the case that you are in fact positive that the issue is on there end. I've walked several guild members through issues that affected gameplay. Some simple. Some more complicated. Clarity in stating your case or problem is your friend.
You mean this?
Lol perfect timing
From the official forums:
Hey everyone,
We noticed an issue with the Vodafone ISP and have resolved the issue as best as we can on our end, and players should see a noticeable improvement in latency. If you're currently on the Vodafone ISP personally, however, you may continue to experience network issues until it is resolved.
Thank you for your patience!

Seems like it was happening to people that use Vodafone. Not sure if this includes the OP or whether his trouble came from another source.

All my problems started after they released patch 2.9 where the strongholds were introduced to the game, until that moment never had an issue with the game before as many of my guildmates, the weird thing is that does not happens every day, usually happens on Thursdays and Sundays, some days you get some lag here and some DCs but Thursdays and Sundays are a killer and Sunday is the day when we must join to do stuff together. I just can continue no enjoying the game due to the problems with lag and DC.
The best way to describe the lag is like if I am running, I take 2 steps, freeze, take two steps, freeze, take 2 steps, you get the idea. So if I jump on a vehicle is the same, the sound of the vehicle is like beeee pop, beeeee pop etc etc It is hard to play like that.

Sounds similar to the lag spikes that only affected some people when they launched 16 man story mode Ops groupfinder for that one week. Some people lagged like crazy without even participating in the groupfinder itself, just in open world and class stories. Considering Strongholds are basically a bunch of empty but small op instances opening and staying open while players are logged in, I could see this repeating now.
Obviously vodafone was involved right now, but the issue's not completely fixed. Maybe a reinstall of the game now that the stronghold files are live would work, but it's grasping at straws.
Depending on your server, they did acknowledge a problem on their side (see this thread).
Hopefully the issue is resolved for you!
Again, run a tracert when gameplay is fine and when you experience lag. Compare the results.
Years ago I had an issue with an MMO where I could not connect. I submitted a ticket and in the end discovered (via tracert) that one of the hops leading to their server was not responding. I had to contact my ISP. I submitted the tracert results and in the end they determined it was indeed a routing issue (this was over the course of several days and speaking with Level 2 & 3 support frequently).
