I logged in pretty early this morning for the first time. No queues, almost no people playing (9h ago).

After playing a little i got kicked from the server around 5-6h ago and been in queue since then. I have currently 400 in front of me at the start it was 2889. Time still says > 1h.

Thank god i can have the queue up on a second monitor while playing a good game (ffxi) on the main.

PS: I do have patron status for some odd reason, probably a mistake by Trion, not complaining but judging by this patrons don't get queue priority.

Keep in mind that just because they indicate "<1 hr" or "2 hrs" doesn't mean it will be that long.
I queued up last night, got 17 minutes,. Then when the number of people in the queue became less the time jumped to "< 1hr" then jumped to some greater time and then lowered to 14 minutes.
Probably took a total of 15 minutes to get into the game.

Yup, one of the many problems so far with this launch is that ALL players are currently given Patron status !
That effectively renders the priority queuing for Patrons useless.
They're fixing it today during a 6 hour downtime. So any F2P'ers who placed houses/farms are probably going to lose them once their tax payment runs out...
Never showed anything else than "> 1 h". So far.

I find it rather amusing how badly programmed this is plus the incompetence of Trion with giving everyone patron and other major faffing around.
Not that i really care, i am in no rush.
They should have made some system for people who crashes out, have an extra queue first for anyone that was logged in the last 5 minutes or so. Because we all know how irritating it is when you queue a long time and then get booted by a server hiccup.
Luckily this is an issue that tends to solve itself pretty quick, most new games have queues but thye are usually gone after the first few weeks.
They did, they have a 10 minute window to relog after a crash.
He's a F2P player... he was referring to the Patron status bug which was fixed during this morning's maintenance. He doesn't have Patron status.
Well, they have to do something. This is in german, but you get the point..
You can please some MMO-players all of the time and you can please all MMO-players some of the time but you can't please all MMO-players all of the time.
Not everyone supports the game by purchasing patron. There is this thing called the Marketplace. Many will make one time purchases like inventory expansion but choose not to sub.
Also, people who might convert to patron probably wont if they don't get a chance to play.
Finally, free players add to the game in other ways. More victims for pirates, more churn for the economy, more people to play with in pve. Why bother making a game free if it can't be accessed by free players. Just make it a sub game if that is what you want.
People in queues are not buying things off the market place and they are not generating the gold that will drive the sales of APEX.

Obviously, Trion cares, because otherwise the game wouldn't be F2P. And if Trion cares, Patrons should care, too.
On the other hand, I think this really isn't a big deal to most people, because they'll just wait a few days or a week.
When I crash out I go right back in ...strange other patrons don't ?

Everyone gets a 10min relog window after a crash regardless of standing.

I still at this point have patron status until the 19th. So, yes i am Patron!
If they got a better time estimate for queue, we might have shorter queue's after people seeing >5hrs and closing the game lol
If they ever sort out the AFK players who use a timer to stay in the game, then queue's wont be so bad.

Still a queue of 2k people. No one seems to log off because of the idiotic Labor Points regen bonus when online. Labor Points is such a bad idea on so many levels, i don't know how anyone can honestly defend that shit.

So they have long server queues because people have an incentive to write macros to accumulate labor points while they're actually not playing the game?
This seems like a pretty serious design flaw. It's on par with letting people grab multiple land plots within hours of starting the game - it would have been straightforward to make the incremental cost for plots 2, 3, 4....high enough that people couldn't have dropped down half a dozen plots right away, and this would have been substantially better for them than having a lot of their most enthusiastic players blocked from any land at all. I'd say this even if I was lucky - a system where a lot of backers are vocally unhappy with a game is not good for its long-term health.

The game has potential but it is ruined by bad monetization and stupid design decisions that will come back and bite them in the ass since no one will pay patron if they can not get land or even log into the game.
After 4 hours in the queue i got the dreaded: "Disconnected from the server" message and a black screen.

Something is seriously flawed. I waited in Que 6 hours yesterday, and now I'm trying to play at 9am on a work day and they que is still an hour and a half?
I agree the problem is people just don't want to log off due to getting more labor points AND not having to sit in the que when they get home from work.
Don't get me wrong I like having populated servers but it's impossible to play the game when it takes 2-6 hours just to get ingame.
A 17k person queue... lol something is really fucked up about that
