You can please some MMO-players all of the time and you can please all MMO-players some of the time but you can't please all MMO-players all of the time.
They have claimed they are looking at some form of compensating players who have had problems. If I had spent 150 I might be a pit peeved but lets see what they offer.
From my perspective, it was an increadible smooth launch. I got in when servers went live, played for about 16 hours straight without a single problem. Then servers went down etc, but I have been able to play pretty much when I wanted to. Apart from now though, when I get the intro looped over and over

This cracked me up.
Haha me too xD Must say that if this worked out, credits to all those players xD On my server, everyone partied up to do those. Sometimes I just passed and it did not take long before I was ahead.
I'll admit the never ending intro cinematic that you can't escape from is an unfortunate oversight.
kept have to ctrl + alt + delete to bring up the task manager and then, since Archeage for some reason doesn't like to be displaced by another program, had to alt tab to actually see the task manager in order to end it.
Still, I have quite a few hours put into the game. only 25% into level 20 (wanted to be a bit farther) but I'll rectify that today.

You guys were probably on the US servers. During our breaks (2hr queue) we were watching streamers on the NA servers chatting with the GMs and everything working fine.
We have NEVER seen a GM on the euro servers. It seems as if Trion doesnt know we exist.

EEEEEEEExactly. Glyph is trash but Tron worlds is not fixing it. I haven't been able to log in to glyph for almost 2 months now. I guess they don't plan to fix it.
did anyone see this coming, i mean, Trion did a pretty good job with the launch of Rift, how the heck they managed to mess up so badly with Archeage i have no idea, as of now, Archeage is probably a strong contender for the worst launch of the year, seriously, Zenimax must be laughing with relief, somebody else actually managed to screw up worse than they did, i watched that youtube vid and it was a real WTF moment.
Trion, with all the issues with the cash shop and the labour potions etc. now is really not the time to dig a deeper hole!
i dont hate AA, but when i do saw the video, i just burst ouf of laughter, i mean, i gotta pity AA players that have been waiting the game for 4 years, then paid $150 dollars for 4 days start to found out that the launch is so bad
i really feel sorry, that is why i hate any games that have founders,
i do hope that they could fix the problem soon, so i can try the game as F2P

I'm stuck in the flipping intro too. ALT+F4 does it for me, to close the damn client.

Since the game "just" went down now, that came in quite handy!

Yeah, I'm sure all the people that are complaining are children, not people that spent $150 of their hard-earned money to get no advantage during head start as was promised.
They, who spent money to secure their win over others, then gone crying because of pots are pay to win (hahaha ).
In light of recent events, i can describe how i see the situation, with a single picture.
Every MMO launch has queues, Every MMO launch has bugs, Every MMO launch has customer service struggles, every MMO launch has login issues.
This is not new. The game is as popular now as it is likely to ever be. Population will drop dramatically within the next 3 months just like any other MMO has in the past. There is no profitable reason for Trion to hire a bunch of extra workers, have a ton of servers to choose from then just lay them all off once the population decreases, as this will happen anyway even with the amount of employees they have now.
Think of a funnel and the people are grains of rice. You dump all the grains in at once and is going to create a bottleneck in every department and of every single resource involved.
ESO later refunded people the extra time because the Megaserver went down so many times during headstart. It went down for longer durations than Archeage by far. Gw2 was offline an entire 24H into headstart. Diablo 3, same thing.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

Not everyone paid $150 for the game. Some paid the $49.99 price tag that comes to a normal retail price. Like very other fucking game in the known fucking world released in the history of fucking video games. Jesus Christ! I'm sick of trying to explain how consumerism works to these cheap fucking bastards already!

LOL! That picture is just epic. Halo quote: "Suicide!"
The code of the pessimistic loner: "We unpopular loners are realists, who follow the three non- popular principles: Not having any (Hope), Not making any (Gaps in your heart); And not giving into (Sweet talk)".
Everthing will be fixed soon or later, but i agree that head start was a nighmare for some founders.
My plan was allways start playing as a patron on 16th, some of my friends are founders and this last days were not good for them here in EU. None will leave, they have the patience to stay and wait for better days without long queues and no crashes, but we must admit that things didnt start well at least in EU.
Lets see how is going to be tomorow, ppl claim that tomorow come the F2P players but not only, im sure alot of patrons will start playing tomorow too and thats why i think servers are not enouph. I understand that merging servers in AA is not easy but still, untill now was only founders with 2h queue and game is not only made to founders. Unless a massive rage quit hapeneds (this way it will hapened) , servers are not enouph imo.
was playable during alpha, which went on for multiple months(4 months of something?haven't played the game nor interested in trying)
+ month of patron status and few credits(worth $20)
doesn't look half bad, does it?
You got access to alpha if you dumped 150$, not with the 100$ or 50$ packs. Still doesn't look half bad? especially since your patron time is already ticking away when you cant even play lol....Money well spent.

I don't see why people have to create 50 threads to cry in. Just make one general, and fill that with tears.
This entire stuff is getting out of hand here on mmorpg.com...

we told you guys again and again not to play this game, for a simple reason.
it failed and crashed in TWO different regions already, now they sold it (with a "BUY OUR BETA!" programm) AGAIN....
and you wonder all this happens again?
well, maybe don't flame us next time, but listen
juuuust an idea

If they can't cope with a handful of headstarters I really wonder how they plan to deal with all the freeloaders and gold farmers tomorrow...
Is this the worste launch in MMO history unfolding before us?
