Manaan - next expansion planet?

Devs placed blog about Manaan today... is it a hint for a new expansion or FP, Operation or Dailies Planet?

    Is the new Flashpoint coming on the 2.9 Update GSH.  But, we know nothing about SWTOR 3.0 yet, so it could be also, a new planet.

    pretty sure its going to be the next flashpoint that continues the new story they are telling and should be 2.9

    It’s worth noting that Game Update 2.9 will include the next exciting chapter in the Forged Alliances story arc, and we have a lot of folks working on something very big for later this year that I have yet to give details on.

     

    although there may be more to it since they have been working on more variations of selkaths

    I expect it to start out small but grow in what will be available on the planet.  Not sure about an Xpac.

    I'm guessing dailies area or a flashpoint. But who knows, they may pleasantly surprise us.

    Not that I wouldn't be all that unhappy with any of the above as long as they're fun. And I do look forward to continuing the Forged Alliances storyline and finding out what they're up to.

    reddit datamining shows it's a flashpoint. They might sneak some dailies in a tiny area like the czerka moon but I doubt it. Also there's a wookiee companion for everyone, similar to Treek on the way, not sure if it's still in 2.9 but it was in the same datamined code.

    If that is the case, I hope it wont be "tactical only" like the last 3. Its about time they add more HM FPs like the 2 czerkas. I wanna heal some hard small group content!

    i knew a new wookie character was incoming involved in forged alliances storyline but didnt realize he would be a companion. cool.  heres a pic of the wookie i am talking about

    NPCs

    Selkath NPC Species and a new Wookie NPC who will play a critical role in the Forged Alliances story line later this year.

    Wookie shouldn't be a pet, it should be a playable race.

    What I've been saying since beta. But they would compromise BioWare's romantic cinematic integrity or some such nonsense.

    It was heavily implied that the wookiee would be a companion, but it could end up as just an NPC, so keep your eyes peeled. Since they can't(or won't) do wookiee romance, I think they want to make them available to every class as a companion. Time will tell I guess.
