It's weird that MMORPG haven't uploaded anything on Gates of Maguuma. Not even the video ArenaNet released. Well here the video is and some information about the update.

    More of the same.

    have they even added a particle effects slider yet? For a skill based game, lacking this and allowing effects to wash out animations is nearly criminal.

    This is far from an expansion, even a mini-expansion.

    A new story, several events, and a mini-zone about 1/4th of Lion's Arch.  This is probably their worst release yet, and it's the start of Season 2, which is shameful, since a lot of people came back to see what's new, and after seeing this garbage, they will stay away.

    id rather pay for an xpac to explore than be trapped in a tiny box.

    Then you are in luck, wait till season 2 finishes, log in, buy all the episodes and theres your exapansion.

    If you prefer it THAT way.

    We had 1 guy come back, proclaim its "crap" and logged off. Thats the scope of  "dissapointment". 

    But its obvious that he wouldnt stay no matter what ANet does, so who cares. If you dont like it dont play it, simple. no one cares for those anyway.

    If other games can call crap that they release once a year "expansion", this IS mini-expansion. Except youll not have to wait another year for a bit more stuff but two weeks.

    The reception among the actual players have been quite positive, wanting more and more aside.
