The only news we have is from august, during the conference call for the second quarter earnings. It was said that LE beta schedule would be revealed in the end of 2013.
According to the latest NCSOFT financial conference (May 16th), the first closed bet of Lineage Eternal and Metal Black are scheduled to winter(december+) this year.
How long has this been in development already? I feel like I have seen first videos from this games quite many years ago.
I would rather see L3, but this looked interesting as well. Some news would not hurt.
Lineage Eternal will complete 7 years of development this year, it started being developed in 2008, when the old Lineage 3 project was abandoned due to problems with Tera Online(which used L3 stolen source code).
After that, they decided to develop their own engine for a new Lineage project(LE), as well as they decided to come back to Lineage 1 isometric style instead of making something similar to TERA.
Some draft of the abandoned L3 characters compared to TERA's:

Yeah I can't find any new info on this game. I've tried 4Gamer and ThisIsGame to name a few. The only info I found is that NCSOFT might make some sort of reveal (rumor) for this year's G-Star B2B Exhibition. It will be held in Busan, South Korea on November 20-23 2014.
Not really a fantasy guy anymore, but I would check this game out no doubt. I know D3 took forever, but does it really take 7+ years to make an arpg? How long was POE in development?

It is not an ARPG, but a MMORPG like Lineage 1. It's not a Diablo clone but a sequel to the first Lineage.
