LOTRO not working

in Lord of the Rings Online

Hey all, 

so my lord of the rings online through steam errors at patch update.

This is the exact message I am getting:

An error has occured

patchclientdll::checkdatfiles failed [unable to decrypt and deserialize the data downloaded from the server]

 

 

Ive googled this error tried many different things but it still will not work. Anyone ever run into this error ?

    What does 'tried many different things' mean?

    There's no reason for people to waste their time and yours by telling you to do something you've already done.

    My generic answer would be to uninstall it from Steam and install it without Steam.

    I just tried it through Steam and it worked.
