Guild Neighborhoods Are Coming!

SaluteSalute Member UncommonPosts: 795

" As you sit there looking at your plot of land with it’s home, attractions, tradeskill resources, and whatever else you might have, you might be wondering about guild housing.  Wildstar launched today, but it was not included because it’s not done.  On yesterday’s stream from Carbine we had Joe Piopora talking about the housing in Wildstar.  The plots of land float in the sky to more easily explain why they are instanced and keep the feel of the game.  They housing plots are instanced so that you can use the 800 decor limit that is currently allowed without issue.

He explained that guild housing, or guild neighborhoods as Carbine devs call them, was not in the game for launch because they didn’t want to mess it up by rushing things. They have wanted to do guild neighborhoods for over a year, but thankfully they don’t want a broken system for the players.  There will be new systems that need to put in place for them, new art assets.  Joe stressed that guild neighborhoods will make the guild housing plots look like nothing.  They are going to be massive and not just like you see around you currently.  It will be houses next to each other like you might imagine in a real neighborhood.  So keep your chins up and we will keep you informed as soon as we know more information! Continue to watch the stream after this for more housing information. "

Lord rings had this before FFXIV did. FFXIV is actually kinda limited on what you could do compared to LOTR.

Yeah LotRO is the same way. FFXIV has added a lot the last patch. Not quite up to where LotRO's is but its getting closer.

    Agree

Considering that WS has already tons of quality content, additions like this makes me feel the game has indeed huge potential.

I think after the successful launch, their true bet in order to help the game grow even more is to apply these excellent content additions with a fast pace as they promised.
