Must not be very tenacious pirates?
Also, congrats on paying 150 bucks for an alpha test of a game that is already released and will be released for free?
heh...
(don't get me wrong, we'll all play ArcheAge when it's free buddy)
Your ignorance....
but ill leave it at that, thanks for the useless post
what ever happened to humor?
just getting tired of all those people begging for free guest tickets....
Ther has been enough time for everyone only slightly interested to the game to testdrive it
Half the frontpage is filled with requests for guest tickets.
The game is awesome, worth all of its money, tahst the message in this topic, and if you dont understand the humor of this post, poor you, i feelfor you as you might be taking gaming way to serious.

I don't think you'll stand a chance in ArcheAge without early access, IF you want to be 'something' or claim a land or two, that is.
Just saying.
THAT is why I'm not touching AA. If you HAVE to have early access to compete... well, P2W comes to mind.

more to the point of this thread, I tend to agree with what Lord B is saying.
Nothing you're saying here makes any sense, and it certainly doesn't read as a joke or humor. Why would you explain your "I'm getting tired of" if you're just joking as an example? Besides....How do you know these people had time to play during OB? Maybe some had a crucial work week that week? I certainly did... Not that I want a buddy key. Just saying you have no idea who had "enough time" or not.

Congrats on not knowing the difference between past and present tense. Also thank you for the congrats on getting 11,250 store credits and 3 months of 5 labor points per 5 minutes. (don't get me wrong, I like being able to play it now regardless).
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So essentially what you're saying is that the game is designed in a way that prevents you from having any measure of success unless you buy into their ridiculous $150 early access. I can't even tell if this is supposed to be a defence or criticism of the game.
So its supposed to be a joke.
it sure escaped me....and everyone else it seems. WS is getting better of you.
If you want to own a house, and do hardcore crafting you can get the Patron status. You don't need a house or have to do hardcore crafting to make money or enjoy the game. There is no content gate. Only thing Early Access grants anybody is a head start on the race to get land in prime areas.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well, no. Every founder pack share the same early access, which is 4 day head start. You can buy the cheapest one or try lurking on google for beta keys (I almost certain there will be giveaways pre launch).
Actually it's almost the same case in P2P games. If you didn't pre order, you won't get early access. Early access in every mmo means A LOT to achievers, such as be the first to reach level cap so they can face roll pawning low leveled players who play late, or to market players who will have the edge to control the market.
Early access is essentially P2W, for those kind of players.
The game is not awesome to A LOT of mmo players.
Every game is great to the OP, until on to the next !
Blocking major features isn't a content gate?

Not untill...
eq, daoc, eq2, wow, lotro, ddo, dcuo, gw, gw2, eso and some more are all awesome games, none of them perfect, but all where a lot of fun when i pkayed them, and i still regularly return to most of them to enjoy the good things of those games..
its all a matter of mindset, and making sure you enjoy the good things of those games instead of cursing the bad things... Currently enjoying both Eso and Wildstar, untill i reach max level in ESO and then i plan joining either WoW or DCuO as my 2nd game...
wildstar is just an awesome place to be right now.... And we will see how long that lasts... If i make atleast a hundred hours of fun, its money well spend..

Owning a home isn't a major feature of the game it's a luxury. I don't currently own a home in game and I'm fairing perfectly fine. Everyone has the same amount of labor points only the rate at which they replenish is what is different. I've crafted full sets of gear and have not burned through all my labor points. Also as you use your labor points the max amount of labor points you have increases. So no it's not a content gate. You get to participate in the exact same activities as everybody else minus owning a house.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sorry but I understand his point of view .. what with the cheap price you can get cd keys these days .. if you want to try an mmo there's no reason not to just buy the damn thing.
Guest passes what ends up happening is moaning as not enough time, restrictions etc or lower priority as 'guests' so their butt hurt.
